When is the Next "One Day 15% OFF SALE"

A while back all the vendors had a one day big sale. Is that common? When will it happen again? I need parts and would enjoy saving 15 %

Well what parts are you looking for? There's always deals to be found.

Since that vendor has burned all it bridges with others that stock it's parts...(I think you mean Alta)you might be able to ask another vendor of their parts for a similar discount....they might be thrilled to offload the parts....
Better yet....wait till the next 50% off sale....
One thing that drives me crazy...if you watch the price on an item...it goes up....usually before a sale.....

Most of the vendors had the same deal on one particular day. I don't want alta parts. I'd like a DDM or Dinan CAI, I also need a pulley but I don't know which is best.

Dinian is only sold direct...but the price has dropped by about 50% since it was introduced....I think it is going for $140 now...it was once the same price as the jcw.
DDM stuff is nice...but rarely go on sale.
Pulleys...waymotorworks.com has a kit...
Has a pulley, new belt, cooler sparkplugs, tensioner stop, and use of a pulley puller for free if you ask for a good price...save lots on shipping too!
Cheapest pulley around was the Alta classic...I think they might be still selling them for $75. But you still need to buy/borrow a pulley puller...and the other stuff in the kit are stuff you really do need....

Pulleys are all basicly the same...some small differances in attatchment method....the old alta's have the same system as everbody else still uses...it is proven, and it works.
Size...street only, get a 17% IMO if you have good gas...93octane...then the 17 is awsome... If you ever plan to auto-x, then get the 15% IMO. The 16% seem to be a bit of an older desgin wise, as from what I have been hearing, they wear the belts faster than the 17%...
Beyond that...they are all the same!!

One tip...installing a pulley on an auto mcs is a bit harder....you might want someone who has done it before help you, or pay to have it done....the spaces where you have to work is just tighter... Sonit takes a bit longer.

Nawww...we don't hate Alta ... Just question some of their practices (marking prices up before a sale, running continious % off sales...they have hurt a lot of other vendors that once sold parts with their name....now they are stuck with those Alta pars, on the shelf, undercut buy their own supplier!!) and spotty custmer service/and a few quality issues....nobody is perfect, just some could do better!!

I PM'ed you. When we have sales we contact our active vendors and offer them deeper discounts to compensate. We are definitely working on product support and customer service every day and take care of issues when people contact us directly. Always here to help!!

Nice to hear! Thank you for your continued support here, even in these difficult times. Good to hear that the remaining current vendors are not left out of the discounts and sales. The vast majority of users who seek help with our mods, usually deal with small, independant shops, that, I'm sure, are not big sellers. It is good to hear you have tried to help your dealers.
