You can arrange for an inspection including a credit card payment over the phone. You'll just have to ask the seller to take the car to the shop, which he should be willing to do since he wants to sell the car and you appear to be a serious buyer since you're paying for an inspection.

Just an FYI... they made some mechanical improvements in the 05/06 models which really improved their performance over the earlier years (as in more fun to drive!). Test drive an 05/06 before making your decision.

 

The 05/06 is just too much more than what I am looking to spend, unless I look at one with 125k miles...

 

Uh Carfax I don't know man. They just give me a real bad feeling. I don't believe they are as reliable as the claim to be.
