Made is safely (somehow) out of Philly last night before an icy drive home. Was worth it though!

Desire and Harvey

Took Desire out for a Sunday morning cruise to see his friend Harvey. Mini was thrilled with the photo op.

Aloha from Oregon. So strange to have a suburb called Aloha in Oregon. Evidently it is a bit of a mystery how the name came about in circa 1920.

PM complete

They cleaned up the area nicely
New tensioner
Had some PM done:
Replaced pulley tensioner (had hairline crack) I believe I caused this when I replaced my harmonic balancer and didn’t use the tool.
P/S lines replaced (leaking)
Oil housing gaskets (small leak)
Rear brakes/rotors/sensors
2005 MCS 94000 miles

Too cold to do much maintenance, but the sun came out this afternoon and the Roadster's battery had been on the tender a couple of days, so I decided to roll the Mini out from hiding in the garage. I really wanted to take it for a drive and didn't since the roads are still pretty messed up from the snow/sleet/freezing rain events of the past few days. I ran it around the driveway for about 20 minutes, brought it up to temperature and cycled all the electrics, including running the A/C. Checked the tire pressures and fluid levels earlier in the day.

Now we need some mild dry weather for a few days. Would be nice to see the roads clean off to be able to get a little cool weather Motoring in. Definitely getting pre-Spring fever.

Today Elsa got her Thermostat housing removed, in doing so broke the camshaft sensor and a clip...

But her euro name plate has been ordered and her passenger side roof molding was replaced.

She gets a week of resting .

Not today, but I got him towed to my mechanic to basically rebuild everything. Engine swap, refresh AC, fix some minor accident damage from when my stepdad backed into me... Ugh. Gonna be an expensive week!

Drove him to work today.

It's sprinkling in Phoenix which terrifies me... Many folks in this city do not know how to drive in the rain.

turns out one of the two new bulbs was pulling too much juice, blew the fuse every time that specific bulb was in.... garbage going back to seller
