Thanks Nate! A few bubbles but I guess they're suppose to go away in time. I love how they came out but since the film is pretty thick I knew the headlight output would diminish. Not really thrilled about that. The install went pretty well. A few more install and I'll be an expert.

I ordered both the cargo and the car seat covers from Pooch Style for my new MINI Cooper HT that isn't even on the boat yet!

Ha ha! Actually both! My last Bridge Spoke (which I use in the winter) was powder coated black today - so they'll get bolted up on Saturday. No great shakes there, although I am personally looking forward to the black on PW/B look in person and not just in my sig.

Still gonna be a wheel tease about the summer wheels though. Saying no has never been my strong suit so we'll see just how long this lasts.

I replaced my driver's side sunvisor for the common broken vanity door. Good news, Mini warranties the new visor for 2 years. Problem is it will break again in 3 years.

Had an H-Sport RSB and NM Engineering lower engine mount bushings installed on my '09 MC. Wow! What a difference! Even with the stock shocks, Cary corners like a champ now, flat and stable and with the bushings shifts are so much more solid. I really can't believe how much of a difference these such simple, inexpensive mods made. Saturday Koni FSD shocks will be installed. Can't wait!!

Plastidipped my gas door and driving light rings (front portion of the chrome light). I couldn't take the whole thing off without cutting and re-crimping the wires, so I left the backs chrome. Looks like crap.

Also tried to paint the interior trim pieces from light gray to gloss black. Too cold, or the paint is old, or the prep wasn't good, (or all three) and it came out looking like crap (up close). Gonna try again in the future when it's warmer.

Also received my BMW/usb cable. Spent the last couple hours trying to unzip and install all the software to get NCSexpert to work on my netbook. Hopefully I can get it installed and finished tonight for coding tomorrow.

Going to get the pulley put on tomorrow morning!

Took JiMini to get the pulley installed, and they found a leaky (and cracked, previously repaired) valve cover. They also confirmed my suspicions regarding the motor mount. They didn't have a motor mount available, so they gave me a rental:

Then I got home and found my GoBadges had arrived:

The cool thing, the warranty company (Zurich) didn't flinch or complain about covering the parts and labor for the motor mounts and gaskets. Can't wait to pick JiMini up tomorrow and take the long windy way home...

Sorry for the delay, just saw this. It came that way (carbon fiber). I believe they also sell a non-carbon fiber one that can be painted to match the body color.

Nice badges, Nick.

I’ve always wanted to know how much my OEM Bridge Spokes weigh, especially since they feel so much lighter than my current aftermarket wheels (almost sold). I can literally feel the difference when I swap them in the winter. But I don’t have a scale here in the house...

So today, since I was taking my last wheel from the tech shop where they were being powder coated (I work in a high school) I decided to stop by the nurse’s office and weigh it there.

You might imagine the looks on peoples faces...

That scale’s top notch - 19.75 lbs for anyone who wants to know.

Interesting, with regard to the Bridge-spokes' weight.

I picked up a set of used snow tires on R91 5-spoke Bullet wheels for the winter that seems like it's never coming.

Received an unexpected courier delivery yesterday which contained the MINI board game, wall mount key holder, couple Canada brochures and a key-chain. I already have one from my previous MINI so I may sell it if there is any interest.

Engine noise has gone back to normal. No idea if the timing chain was going wonky but will get it checked eventually. Squeal noise also gone but I do hear a little squeak sometimes when I shut off the engine. Rattle from passenger side is now intermittent - damn you British factory worker(s) who built my car! Hearing low speed grinding sometimes which I think are my tires - way too lazy to put the summer tires on to test.

Didn't really do much. Took her for a drive over to Destin, Fl from Robertsdale, Al (2 hour drive). Sand everywhere so I did vacuum inside and the engine bay when I got home. Attached some pics. Really nice day. These pics are thumbnails, click on 'em.

That is -15 Celcius .... I wouldn't like it either. In fact I didn't when it was that cold visiting family over Christmas.
