Dunno if they're snobs, I think they knee-jerk judge something they know nothing of based on past experiences. I mean, 5 years ago to suggest that I drive an auto S was out of the question, based on the crappie slushboxes (and CVT loaners) I used to drive.

Now, I wouldnt have it any other way.

especially as I see manual R56s and modded R53s in my rear view mirror at the track. unless they are factory JCW, and the stickhead knows how to drive it, they just cant keep up.

I mean, watch the video I posted earlier....

(unrelated ?? for those who have driven dual-clutch automatics: does one have to let up on the gas when manually shifitng? If so, that explains why that MCSa smoked all those other dual-clutch cars and the S2000-S.)

Wow, there's 51 of us already? I honestly thought that the number would be lower because of all of the disdain for the automatic transmission on this forum. We're obviously the smart ones
