Thanks! There is another in the pictures album. It took considerably longer. Ill keep posting them as I get inspiration. I have to go pick up one of my fellow Aggieland Mini Club members at the airport in houston soon. But maybe tonight i can get cracking on some badges!

Aggie,

I'm in! I don't follow on Facebook though. I already monitor 5 email accounts, plus NAM and MA so FB and Twtr are not in the cards for me. I think this is a great idea. Funny about not putting stickers on cars. I don't think I could ever behave myself 100% of the time on the road and driving with the "flying fish" only gives people one more reason to paint all Christians as hypocrites.

The real question is: "How would Jesus drive?"

Oh man, I wish i could make every one of these! i was literally laughing out loud.

Here is an idea. I know that Cafepress does a thing where you make a design and then you can anyone can order it on a number of things. So if i made a design for these, then you could get a sticker, t shirt and mug. I also have a coupon to open a cafepress storefront for free. this might be tempting. The only reason I mention this is because a lot of these are too long for a badge. But they are too priceless not to use!

I just got an email with a link from NorCal Road Racers Association that has home made vinyl sticker kit, that is meant for T/A car numbers for cheap. Let me find it and see if its possible to DIY.
Aha, one more, a spin off of the "compensation" thing: My Small Car Compensates For My Big Heart"

For me personally I"ll probably pass on the stickers. I'm not much of a sticker person. I'm just really glad to know theres so many others on this board who share the same faith. This 'club' is an opportunity to share ideas, have some laughs, and encourage each other.

Yes, a couple of posts were deleted in an attempt to keep NAM clear of certain types of discussions. Those posts were wandering into political and otherwise verboten territory, so the mods took some action.

We want to encourage the use of this thread as a form of networking for Christian MINI and Mini drivers as well as a way to find and form community within NAM's larger structure, but we want to be sure to keep the conversation from getting out of hand and potentially problematic, offensive, political, or otherwise ugly. The moderating team hopes that this is satisfactory for all of you and that you continue to find each other through this thread. Thanks!

Count Me In

I think it's a great idea everybody. Very good on the bumper stickers. Magnets as well. I will contribute ideas as I have em. My wife and I both drive Coopers and I think it would be a great opportunity to share the faith.

Regards,

Pat

Hey everyone,

I hope you have all been blessed and had a great weekend. I wanted to call to attention the state of our group and maybe talk about some things to do.

First off, the group is getting lots of activity. Our thread has almost 800 views and im sure is being followed closely by lots of people with all different camps of beliefs. So lets keep the thread going! Lets keep the talk encouraging and uplifting so that people keep coming back and maybe (God willing) they will be encouraged enough to ask questions or reach out.

Secondly, I think it is time for us to start acting! After some prayer, here is what I think we should do. This week, I would like everyone to live out your faith and selflessly serve someone. My first intention with this idea was to share the Gospel with one person this week. However while writing this, God gave me a little insight. Some people's gift is not evangelizing and that is fine! We all have our different spiritual strengths. While that may be, everyone can serve. Maybe its you stopping to help a stranded motorist or maybe its doing something special for someone you love. SOMEHOW selflessly serve, like Christ did every day, for someone. But the most important thing is, that they should be seeing a picture of what Christ did through you. If you have an opportunity to share the Gospel with them, great, if not, you still let God enter their lives. Sometimes, you never see the fruit of the seed you planted.

I will make a separate discussion on our discussion boards on facebook about this and I would like for everyone to post their experience, good or bad. If you are not on facebook feel free to post it up on this thread. I know that I personally need to start being more in tune with Gods plan for me and how he needs to use me every day so lets encourage each other in this way.

If this is out of line or weird, please say something or do not participate. I was sitting down to write a general letter to everyone to keep us active and this plan popped into my head. So feedback is welcome.

Remember that I am not the leader of this group, God is, and if you ever feel the need to say something or have an idea, they are just as valid as anyone elses.

Please keep up the prayer chain board on facebook. We all will need it sooner or later so please be on there to support those who need it currently.

Be blessed and strong. I cannot wait to hear the stories after this week!

Michael

Good idea, Michael... and I wouldn't worry about people thinking it's "out of line" or "weird". You are simply suggesting we help somebody else out. There may be people who are uncomfortable with doing something for a stranger or something, but I can't imagine anyone (who is reasonable/sane) being offended by you suggesting that we help someone out.

Again, good idea.

Wow...a Christian thread of NAM. Who'd have thunk it

I saw a bumper sticker NOTW (not of this world) and thought that would generate great discussion and an opportunity to share your faith.

If I could get one of those (I might just make one myself), I would have that on my MINI. Truth be told, if I had a traditional Christian sticker on my car, like a cross or a fish, my style of driving may be construed as a bad testimony.

I was, however, wondering of NOTW was a copyrighted trademark. I suspect it may be.

This is a great idea!!
I tried to offer a sermon, message at one of our MINI meets a few years back, no takers, but you gotta put yourself out there and allow the Lord to use you.

I have a couple of sermons I preached a few years back when I was the evangelism pastor at my church. They used to be on itunes, but i have them in mp3 if you want to upload them to FB, or whereever.

In HIS service,
Kevin

PS, I really like the MINI cross on FB.

Though I am not a Christian myself, I think this is a great idea. Finding a link to further unify a community is a great way to keep up the spirit of brother- and sisterhood, as long as that link is a positive one (i.e. not like some of the confederate flying racist wackos around here!).

That being said, I would probably take a small issue with someone preaching at a MINI club meeting I was attending. After all, I'm there to enjoy the spirit of the car, not to be evangelized. I think spirituality is great, but there is certainly a time and a place and as long as we keep that in mind, we wouldn't have many of the issues we undoubtedly have over differing beliefs.

Keep up the great work!

Signed,
Probably one of the least spiritual people you might ever meet (See, we can all get along.)

It's good to see this here. Count me in. I'm not a sticker fan, but I like the grille badge ideas. Here is a good way to start your day: http://www.upperroom.org/devotional/
