It's so exciting to know that I'm not alone. I feel like sometimes our faith is a forbidden topic because people can misinterpret our intent based on previous interactions with others who profess to have the same faith as us. I have a friend who has a quote from Gandhi as her religion status: "I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." This girl is amazing, but her previous experiences with Christians holds her back. My best friend and I pray that the more time she spends with us and our friends the more she will come to understand that not all Christians are the same. Some talk the talk but fail to walk the walk.

Lol, you're forgiven.
And you're so right. She knows but her experiences are still holding her back. We just pray for opportunities to get her to open up more.

Sorry to be pedantic, but it's not Ghandi, it's Gandhi.
Though I am not a Christian myself, I think this is a great idea. Finding a link to further unify a community is a great way to keep up the spirit of brother- and sisterhood, as long as that link is a positive one (i.e. not like some of the confederate flying racist wackos around here!).
That being said, I would probably take a small issue with someone preaching at a MINI club meeting I was attending. After all, I'm there to enjoy the spirit of the car, not to be evangelized. I think spirituality is great, but there is certainly a time and a place and as long as we keep that in mind, we wouldn't have many of the issues we undoubtedly have over differing beliefs.
Keep up the great work!
Signed,
Probably one of the least spiritual people you might ever meet (See, we can all get along.)

Thanks so much. This is great to hear. I am sure there are a bunch of people from all camps of beliefs out there reading this thread and I am glad we can be supportive of each other. This was the reason I was drawn toward NAM and not other forums in my early Minihood. lol.
I tried to start a similar club some time ago on a Porsche forum. Let's just say it didn't go so well. A few of us attempted to do a spin-off forum (I Called it CISCO - Christ Inspired Sports Car Owners). After being slammed on that forum and being overly corrected and let down on a Christian forum, I usually keep my faith to myself. That said, I've joined the Fb page and may even put another RFC sticker on my Mini (like I have on my 914) but I'm not sure I'll be overly vocal here.
My faith drives my personality so I really can't keep it to myself. We are always going to be slammed and I know it is hard to always be prepared for that. Overall, this Mini/MINI forum is pretty easy going. I still would like a neato motoring badge to display my faith prominently!

I too have been somewhat quiet about my faith. I think it's time to change that. I am a Christian and see the glory of the Lord in every day, and every living thing. I never thought much of putting any kind of identifying mark or decal on my car labeling my self as a Christian, but after reading this, and other fourums, I have changed my mind on that. I gotta admit, I didn't think this an apropriate forum topic, but if it's gonna be here, I'm in.
Gotta tell ya, putting a Christian mark on your car does have an affect on how you drive. You think twice about making unsafe lane changes (cutting people off) and probably won't flip someone off again either.
Similarly When I was commuting into the city, I used to listen to a lot of books on CD. My wife bought me an audio bible. My driving was different while listening to that too.

I hope you are right. I am an agressive driver when provoked by thoughtless drivers. Been praying for years to overcome it. My car is very distinctive and my wife teaches at our kids Christian school, so I should know better. I will have some explaining to do one day. Every time some one tells my wife they saw me in my car she cringes and asks what I was doing? They usually say flyin' down the road. I did put a nice white cross on the rear window last night by the way. Boston, that is some very nice work you do. You should do up a shirt or decal of the "powered by faith" work, but with a Mini! I'd like one, and I'm sure others would too.

I always tell my friends, the devil is just as happy keeping you where you are as he is moving you backward.
Of all the metaphors Jesus used, he used a Light a lot. And lights cant really be inward. Lights are only good if they are illuminating and outward (sans-lampshade). As much as people get offended when you talk to them about religion, they don't get offended at all when you live out your religion.
I do the best I can. I'm not counting on that decal to do anything but say I am a believer. I just want my belief in Christ to be known. Nothing more than that. As for a conviction, I don't know. Working on the evidence file every day.
27 What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight. What is whispered in your ear, shout from the rooftops. 28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but can't kill the soul.
Agree and the light originates from the center of the lamp, illuminating everything around it! Like a light bulb with no filament there is no light, the light must first begin on the inside.
