Would you buy a MINIvan?

I'm in a graphic design class, and as one of our projects, we were asked to do a visual pun, and I put together something I called a "MINIvan," which is basically a 4-door MINI with sliding rear doors (like a minivan, wakka wakka wakka).

It proved fairly popular on my Facebook page, so I figured I would bring it over here to see what you think, but more importantly, should MINI build one? Mind you, this was made with tongue firmly in cheek, but I think it would be a fairly neat concept car for them to make. It would probably have to be made on the Clubman, just because it's longer, but the ingress/egress would be that much easier, no?

there is a LOT more engineering that would need to be done in order craft the vehicle as you have drawn it... I don't think it could be done as is... and thank goodness

Very nice project but I wouldn't either. I hope MINI actually goes smaller with more power.

Mini vans aren't for everyone, but if you have multiple kids I wouldn't knock it till you try it... As unsightly as they may be, the functionality of them is second to none.. Add in the fun-ness of a Mini Cooper? I'd be sold to have one as my second car... No problem at all. As long as it is my wife that's driving it!

As mentioned in another thread, BMW/MINI is indeed working on a MINIVan for release close to 2016.

Here is the thread - https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...g-minivan.html

It has links to articles written about this concept.

While the art is great, the idea is counter productive. It will end up like the BMW X6. Too soft for the road, too hard for off it.

Although, the A-Team might want one.

Come on guys, think Countryman with sliding rear doors.

I'd consider one if I was in the market for a small van.
