I downloaded last night was easy to do. Hope I never need it and if I do I hope it works. I know if the wife breaks down she'll push the hubby roadside assistance 1st!

It doesn't work for '02 - '03 models for some reason. I guess because they're not under warranty anymore. I still want to play around with it, but I can't do anything until it accepts my VIN. I feel so out of the loop :)

Exactly, if I need it I have trouble! Looks nice though, and some nice little maintenance tracking stuff...

This is not just an iPhone app. It works on a bunch of 'berrys too, including my Bold. No Windows support. Not much to it - mostly just a button to press if you need roadside assistance.

This app will work for all Model Year 2004 and newer MINI's regardless of where you purchased your MINI. We are developing a second version that will accept MINI's prior to 2004 as well as multiple VIN's. We're also working on getting the app available for more phones and providers.

Feel free to reply or PM with any questions or suggestions. We want to make this app as good as we can.

What happens to people whose road side assistance is expired? Is it a costly service?

Your MINI has Roadside Assistance coverage for a full four years from your MINI's in service date regardless of mileage (six years from in service date for MINI's enrolled in the MINI NEXT Certified Pre-Owned Program).

If you fall outside of MINI Roadside Assistance coverage you are still welcome to use this app; however, there is a charge of $119.95 per incident.

It won't seem to take my '09 MCS VIN. I just picked up the car last week.

Do have I have to wait some time until MINI gets all my paperwork processed for it to take the VIN?

Vandelay,

Congratulations on the new MCS ! The app should work within one day of pickup of your brand new MINI.

Thanks for letting us know about the problem. Please PM me with your VIN so I can get this fixed for you.

I had to use it a few weeks ago. I wasn't really impressed. They still asked me for most of the information i inputed. plus since i was on the GSP they couldn't help me anyway.

Probably because its from MINIUSA, for MINIUSA's Roadside Assistance program.
