Flares Painted?

I've found a few topics on painting the fender flares and people asking for pics, but I'm getting an R56 and was wondering what I could end up spending to have the flares done in BRG to match the car. Idk where I'd get the paint if I were to do them myself. Thanks

Paint

Try Paintscratch.com for the paint. I believe it may be a three step project that includes a plastic prep, a primer and the actual paint that is flexible enough to survive on bendable plastic.

And can I get matching BRG paint from there?

Can't you order a car with body color, non-plastic flares, now?

Not without the body kit, at least I don't think so

To get it like this you have to order the factory aero kit NOT the JCW kit. If i were you i would go with the JCW kit and have the fenders painted by a local body shop or see if your dealer can do once the car is there. The painted fenders changes the whole look of the car. For the better in my opinion.

Gen. one forum

Lets get this straight, this is the gen one forum as such there is no such thing as a JCW body kit. All that is available is an Aero kit, available in a few colors or as a pre-primed kit. If you want to paint the flares you will have to order the parts and fasteners. Removing the extant flares will probably damage them and will definitely destroy the fasteners. Having said the above, you will have to prep the flares, sand them smooth, treat them chemicaly, prime them and then paint them. And yes Paintscratch. com can provide you with the paint and other things. I didn't paint my flares but I did fixed a small BooBoo on a body panel and was very pleased with the results using their instructions and products. Disclaimer, I do not hold any stock in the company and am not a shill for them either.

This is a general forum, not the gen one forum.
I have a good friend who owns a body shop, I think I'll let him do it just to be sure

As just said this is the general forum and if you read the first post it says he is getting an R56.

I bought my 2008 R56 used and it had the fender flares already painted.
To me it makes all the difference in the world and greatly enhances the look of the car.

Here are some pics:

I love the look of painted flares and can't understand why I don't see more of them really.

This will be down the day I get my MINI
My body guy couldn't tell me what I'd pay without seeing the flares for himself. Any ideas what I might spend to have this done professionally? I wouldn't know how much paint is needed, cost of primer, etc so I wanna have the cash to spend when it arrives.
