grayraven -

How did you mount your plate to the plate bracket? I was using a dealer plate frame for a while there, but have reverted to drilling holes in my GB plate.

Looks great!

Thanks, but that looks like it won't fit on my bumper config?
It's funny-I almost posted on here this morning about how the company sent me a jpeg of my completed plate AFTER Paypal refunded me! Can you believe it? Was it just sitting in their shop all this time?

What type of MINI do you have? The bracket I have (same as posted above) fits my stock bumper as well as my aero kit bumper.

Look at my gallery-the under bite plate holder is off now, revealing a 'euro plate' blank.
It's a 2003 justa.

Ah ok. You should be able to mount the plate directly to the "blank" left over when you removed the US plate holder.

Did you ever order a plate from elsewhere?

Are you saying no plate holder is necessary? I was wondering that.
No, I haven't ordered a new plate. I need a new serpentine belt, plugs, and a coolant change. I am still looking around, though.

On the '04-earlier MCs, all that's really necessary is for the US plate adapter to be removed. As you found - a Euro-sized opening is revealed once the adapter is removed.

Unlike US plates, Euro plates do not typically come with holes drilled in them. You can elect to drill holes yourself, and attach the plate to the bumper from there.

If you don't want to drill into the plate, I'd suggest that you get a plate holder. The plate holder will screw into the bumper, and the euro plate will snap into the plate holder. It's a pretty slick setup, if you ask me.
