Mini-Oden in Taiwan

Hey everyone... earlier this year I took a trip to Taiwan on business... while I was there, we found a really cool little restaurant that used classic Minis as its theme... there were two Mini trucks out front! The following night we dined there, and I took lots of pictures, which I thought I would share with everyone.

For anyone who is curious, "oden" (as it was explained to me) is food traditionally sold by street vendors in Japan, the way hot dogs are sold from carts in the US.

Enjoy the pics... I'm the guy in the brown shirt.

Very cool.

Could you post the address or where in Taiwan it's located (I'm assuming Taipei) so we might be able to check it out next time we're back visiting?

Nice.

I'd heard that Oden was a popular winter dish which often took the form of a fish stew.

Touché! Perhaps it's often sold by street vendors?

Yep. The Wikipedia article says that it is often sold from food carts. My wife who is from Taiwan is also familiar with the term and immediately knew that it had to do with things like fish cake, tempura, etc.
