I'm watching the speed channel and they have a race were a Mini is running.

Who is it?

 

RSR Motorsports Cruise America Minis, they will be racing in the Koni Challenge at VIR next weekend!

 

Thanks, Hopefully they will get out to Laguna or Sears Point.

Too bad no west coast races for Koni Challenge, wish there was, too.
Noticed you still call Mazda Raceway...Laguna Seca and Infinion Raceway...Sears Point, me too. Laguna Seca and Sears Point just sounds more iconic, legendary, uhh cool. And I still call Candlestick....Candlestick.

 

I saw the show for a minute only. How did the Mini fared to the Miatas & Cobalts?

 

They did great considering they were down on the horsepower battle,
they got 5th place. At one point they were running 3rd for awhile, but lost that place due to yellow flag (many) restarts. They gotta find a way to keep the sand off the track, put gravel, grass or weeds, a layer of heavier dirt.....something.

 

That will come in time.

The New Jersey circuit is new and it takes time for the groundcover (eg. grass) to take root and grow.

By this time next year they should be in much better shape.
