Design Contest with Prizes for the Top 3 winners and CA$H

Hello To All the Graphic Artist of NAM,

I would like to engage you in a design contest to design the next 3 Stock Eyes for www.EyesforMyRide.com a part of www.AutoXCooper.com

Please review the above link to see what we are working with and let the fun begin. Please post a PDF format design to be voted on.

We are working on designs for other cars.
We welcome your designs for non-MINI Coopers too.

The Top 3 winners will get their winning design for FREE for their MINI. Plus those designs will be added to the stock designs on our site. The others may be custom ordered. Each artist will be paid a $10.00 bonus for each Eye sold on www.Eyesformyride.com forever

OK, now all the details and legal stuff.
Designs must be posted below before Sept 2, 2008.
You may enter no more than two designs.
Voting will begin on or about Sept 4, 2008, ending Sept 30th.
Winning Designs will be printed and shipped to winners by Mid Oct.
Payments to Artist will be via PayPal. AXC will not cover any PayPal fee's.
The Design must be original to you and I encourage you to copyright it and watermark the posted designs. Any design not found to be original will be removed. DO NOT Copy eyes from other NAM vendors that are used under the MINI Bonnet.
Please keep designs PG-13
Final designs will be emailed to AXC in a High Res JPG, PDF, EPS, or AI in CMYK for our printer to use.
By posting the design below you give AutoXCooper.com the right to use it and profit from it's use and share in that profit as stated above forever.
I have the right to change the above rules based on the rules of NAM, Internet Brands or other legal issues. Yes this is a implied agreement with AXC and those posting designs below.
Please print this post for your records.

Well, I guess I'll be first....
Here is what I have always wanted for my MINI even before I picked it up.
Pretty simple and straight forward, fun for all colors!

Entry #1

Entry #2 Famous eyes from a certain mouse from my neck-o-the-woods....

Enjoy!!

Ok here is the design I am looking at. I will have the PDF version soon, just need to work on it, but for now I want to secure my idea
The pic has it in a semi pepper white color (tho it's not really creamy enough in the pic), but it will look good on all the colors or MINIs if pure white is used. Pepper white will need the pepper white IMHO because pure white stands out wayyy to much next to it.

EDIT

Here is the printout version

Everyone that has checkers in their theme needs some sort of solution for the headlights

I don't suppose you have a template for the oval headlight shape in EPS or AI?

I'd like to enter, but hate to put a lot of detail into a design that would need major modification because I guessed the shape incorrectly…

And is a vector file required, or can raster work be included?

Have sent email to my printer to ask about the last two questions. I know we print them a little bigger then need be and they must be trimmed after install. The R56 is much bigger glass area then the R53 too.

Awesome!

In the event that I would win, I'd like the artwork to be as close to print ready as possible…

The Size and Shape Both Oval the R50, 52, and 53 are 9X12 and the R56, 55 and 54 are 11X13. Note the leading edge of the above size do get trimmed off at install. You may find this video helpful, http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...22209976&hl=en

Thanks!

I've got some cool eyes in my sketchbook too! Hopefully I'll get some time this weekend to get them into the computer.

Here is mine.

Or something to that effect. The black circles are not necessarily part of it.

wow, some really nice eye designs on this thread, definitely some winners...here's looking at you!

A question for AutoXCooper.com...are the templates symmetrical enough that four variations can be derived from just one design? In other words can they be switched right to left and upside down resulting in this sort of thing?

WOW, Thank You all for the great designs. I'll be working on getting them put together in a poll for voting and will post a link here to that thread and in the Vendor Announcements too.
