EZ-Pass 3M dual lock

Now that my MCS is my daily driver, does anyone know where to buy the 3m dual lock to hold your ez pass to the windshield? I know that the Ez pass service centers have it, but I do not have a center near me in Harrisburg PA. I wanted to know if anyone has found it at Staples, Home Depot etc.

Thanks
HerboS

Do you mean the velcro tape? You can buy it almost any hardware store (Lowe's, HD, etc...)

FYI, I just used regular double-sided tape and stuck it under the front edge of the rear sunroof glass as mentioned in other threads. Works great there. No ugly "pimple" to be seen on the windshield. If you have to change between cars, not as practical. In that case I would get that suction-cup holder I've seen other cars have.

Can't even see it from outside the sunroof since it is under the painted/decal border. If you have to change between cars, not as practical. Mine is velcroed in the sunroof as well. It works like a charm and nobody knows it's there!

My brother-in-law, after borrowing my car and frantically looking for my Ezpass but noticing that it was detected by the tollbooth, couldn't find it.

HerboS,
The EZ Pass people should just send it to you for free! I know the NY EZ Pass will.
For reference, that stuff is Heavy Duty velcro AKA Mushroom Head. McMaster-Carr sells it but its kind of pricey. Here's a LINK. Look for PN 94935K41.

Oh yeah, sorry, back to the original question, you can even request new mounting strips from the ezpass website.

Thanks:

I will most likely just get it from Ez pass. I like it because I have in other cars.

I just received a new set free of charge in the mail from the nice people at PA EZ-PASS. I just called and in about 1 week they were in my mailbox!

Is the EZ-Pass like florida's EZ-pass? If so, there are a few holders out there that use suction cups and the transponder snaps into it. I use one in my car and on my motorcycle... Just say no to sticky residue on your window....

I'd be afraid of it not registering on the rear sunroof, but if people say there are no issues I will definitely stick it there. I just picked up an EZ-Pass the other day.

Absolutely no issue. Mine has been there for years along with the transponder for the parking deck at school

Same location that I used, but mine is put on with the EZ Pass velcro. Just call them, they'll send you some.

and BTW it works even with a sunroof decal...

someone posted a graphic of how the signal is sent, I assumed (wrongly) that it was from the front, but it's actually from the top - so the sunroof location is perfect.

Same with me. I forgot if I either called them or sent them a email or something but I got a set in the mail.

I mounted mine on the rear fixed portion on my sunroof with no problems at all.
