I stopped watching NASCAR way back in the days when Dale Sr just started hittin people. I have friends who watch it so I hear a little. I have even less interest in it as it almost becomes a spec series, identical cars save the motor. (Car of tomrrow)

Same of 'Indy' cars. I stopped watching when the 500 became full of rookies having accidents under the yellow. I did tune if a few years ago and they were raving about Danica even as she hit another car under yellow. Heck yeah she's cute. But come on, she hit a car under yellow. Edit: I just remembered, the last year i tried to watch it, it took 3-4 tries to start the race. They kept crashing in turn 4 accelerating to the start.

I see the Indy cars are kits now to. Buy a chassis from one company and everyone put in identical Honda motors.

Spec series can be great, with good racing and lots of teams due to $ management. However I don't consider any spec series appropriate for the pinnacle of that class of racing.

I like F1 because by and large they are constructors. There are some customer engines now and they look like they may allow some customers chassis. Not in favor of that but we'll see.

That's the beauty of generalized statements. There are exceptions to all of them.
Thing is, the Mini-Gay Driver thing is a stereotype created by the big car people to belittle small car drivers. The big car/truck/SUV = underdeveloped male comes from psychiatric journals!

I not being a NASCAR addict, I have to admit both me and my WIFE watched the Daytona 500 this year and were very entertained . The new cars with the wings looked more "sports car" than the old cars did with just the lip. Anyone that says NASCAR is not racing is nuts. Going 190 mph 2 feet away from other cars come on! Also with the addition of Toyota, it is starting to get an internationl feel to it. Maybe BMW is next......................... . Now F1 on the other hand........hmm. the cars are cool and all but, he with the most money wins .

That would be the least of their problems, they would have to first get a car to run that long without breaking.................... .

Yup, everyone likes to remember him as the Intimadator but before that he was known as Ironhead!

Monster miatas are cars to recon with!

Seriously fast... Poor mans Cobra for sure. There are a bunch that run up at Sears Pt with the Cobra crowd. Powered by ford is good enough..... Low Cg, good handling.... Way more power than the chassis needs.

Freakin awsome!

So why is everyone here in such a snit over Dale Jr not keeping his MINI. So what!

As far as NASCAR, it's racing. I like all kinds of racing. The drivers have talent. Indy drivers, Rolex drivers, IRL drivers, ALMS drivers, F1 drivers, NHRA drivers, are all talented. Just cause you don't like it doesn't mean it's not racing.

And Gromit's comment about NASCAR being like watching M&M's being flushed around the toilets is about the funniest imagery I've seen in a long time. I think red is the fastest toilet M&M

Everyone knows that M&Ms aren't real racing... You need Skittels for real racing!

They don't get any because they are only fastest from 0 to the speed limit

I think it has much less to do with the fact he sold his MINI... and more to do with the reason why he sold his MINI.

In any case, this thread is has definitely been a case of .
