Central California Coast MINI Owners

I see that there is a club for our area, but the website doesn't appear to be active. I also noticed that someone from New York wants to organize a Mini run for that area, and that sounds like loads of fun. We have such beautiful roads in our neck of the woods. Let's organize one ourselves. I would propose Santa Cruz to Big Sur via Monterey/Carmel, or the reverse. What do you all think? Maybe March 2

Bump it down to San Luis Obispo!!! I just ordered my mini today, but I'd be more than happy to help establish something in our ocean stretch!

kevin,

you should probably move this to the General mini talk so more people see it. 1st gen will almost never look in here.

Great idea, I didn't even think of the general mini forum. I get so used to just checking this one. I went ahead and submitted the thread.

Bad idea actually. Creating duplicate threads in other forums is a big no-no here. It adds clutter and redundant information.

I have merged your 3 threads from different forums into one in General MINI Talk, and deleted the duplicate posts.

In future, if you post a new thread and realize you really wanted it in a different forum, please report the post/thread using the Report post icon (), which appears at the top right corner of every post on the site.

This will bring the post or thread to the moderation team's attention. It isn't just for reporting "bad" posts, but also for simple "housekeeping" stuff too!

Wow I'm jealous. I drove down the coast last spring before I had my MINI and although it was very nice, being in a MINI would make the drive even better. If I can remember right after you clear the Big Sur area and before the road flattens out there are some twistys that would be fun. But regardless, you're there and not in wintery Ohio.

March 2 sounds fine by me. Anyone else? I think before anyone gets a "club" going we should at least have some meets to see if I even want to hang around you peeps. Actually as long as there is lots of driving, I'm good.
