Hoods and Trunks

I know I'm going to take a ton of heat for this, but I'm really burned out on "bonnets" and "boots". Sorry, but in this country they are hood and trunks folks. Lets face it America, only about .05% of you are actually British and can get away with calling them boots and bonnets, the rest of us just sound like posers.

Big props to Mini USA for their supreme marketing, it's top notch, look at the results.

So let the arrows fly, I'm ready.

PS I also think that Robot thing was stupid too, Sorry!

RTFM.

If I'm in the UK and have Mustang its got a hood if I'm in the US and have a MINI its a bonnet. If I'min NewEngland its soda if I'm in the midwest well its still soda, but I'll cave on shopping carriage being a shoping cart. If I'm at a Nascar Race its a pace car if I'm at a road course race its a safety car.

Sure its something to get used to, hey its new. I hardly think its "poser" to call something by its proper name fits that definition.

When it gets cold here in Chicago I pull up my hood, when I take the kids to the lake to go swimming I put on my trunks, and if you ask my wife she'll tell you I drink too much pop.

Pop!

(At least you don't call shopping carts 'buggies'.)

I thought the shopping cart was a trolly. I know that the baby buggy is a Pram.

I do think it's funny that even though MINI uses "boot" and "bonnet", they stopped short of using "hood" to describe the folding convertible top.

YES hahaha! Man I've gotten some weird looks around here with both of those.

But I say "soda", not "pop".
