hmm, it appears i have, i think that mean i have paid more for mods than i have paid on my car loan. hmmmm, something is seriously wrong here (then again i have 45k spent on one car, and have only driven for about 5 minutes in the 7 years of ownership, and it has no interior and no paint yet), why are cars such a disease. On the up side, only about another 10k until im done. Done cant be a myth, because eventually you run out of things to do. Or atleast i do. I dont go swapping suspensions or parts, im fortunate enough to like everything i buy, and not want to change, and i also have a plan and keep to it. I can finish a car, its just never happened yet, hahah. Maybe one time.

At first, I though I was well under 10 grand, but then on reflection, I may be closer than I thought. Lets see..
Breyton 18in lightweight rims with tires from TireRack-$1600
Alta motorsports foam filter and piping-$350
Forge motorsports undertray and intercooler-$950
Crossdrilled and slotted rotors, EBC redstuff pads-$450
BSH oil catch can and lower motor mount-$350
JCW engine kit-$2400
JCW carbon fiber rear spoiler-$700

Total so far is $6800. And if I let these crazy Germans over at Schafer Mini Tuning get their hands on her. Uh-oh

Way past $10,000, WAY past it. I've kept all my receipts but don't have the courage to add it up.

Mmmm...

62.4k total life to date

15.3 mods (quaife, coil overs, works kit, camber plates, LCA, brake lines, etc)
13 for complete rebuild at 130k (works crate motor, blower, axles, clutch, header, cat, etc, etc)
13.1 for maintenance (includes tires, wheel bearings, brakes, rotors, OEM service)

The odometer reads 152k, but the important bits are really at about 27k.

A second childhood for a car now going into it's eighth year as both a daily driver and also a competitor.

No regrets -- too much fun.

Charlie

I don't think you're supposed to include track time fees.

Somewhere in the 10k to 15k range. Getting new wheels, an updated tune and the rest of my car blacked out. And then I am done.

I'm pretty close at this point. Wouldn't take much more to push me into $10k.

Can we count mods we bought then later replaced with something better? If so then I'm definitely in the $10k club.

Spent mine on the front end

I think I spent my $10K on the front end. My pepper white 2012 MCS has Recaro seats ($2700 please) and the JCW interior (not the tuning kit, brakes, etc.). Lots of other factory options (HD lites, upgraded radio, panoramic sunroof, etc.) brought the MSRP to $35 grand. Not the most expensive MCS I've seen, but not the cheapest either. I don't think I could get my money back, but heck, it's not for sale either. I'm happy with everything except those blasted run-flats -- just haven't decided what to do about 'em. I'll probably keep 'em just to be safe, but damn...
