Euro Plates - Show Offs!
This has probably been done before, but I thought it would be an interesting thread....
European front-plates seem to be a popular item with members. I'm wondering if which is more popular:
1). Custom Plates (Obviously not real)
2). Custom Plates (That look real)
3). Real European plates (lucky dogs)
In the interest of science (or more accurately gawking), I propose that any member with euro style front-plates post a picture with their lucky MINI. After a week, I'll tally the photos and declare which style is most popular.
Also, if anyone wants to add their experiences with these plates, that would be great too!

I ordered a custom Euro plate (England) S MINI007. I read the thread on the agony over whether or not to drill holes in the front bumper. Thought I could do it - then when the plate finally arrived - just couldn't put those permanent holes in that beautiful finish. Ended up taking someone's advice from that thread and got industrial strength velco from Home Depot. Now I'm worried that the sticky velcro may not be all that good for the finish either. It's been on one week and still holding........time will tell.
+1 for the Obviously Custom Euro Plates...
I found the following thread earlier with another option using zip ties on an '06. You may want to take a look.

I'm braless, and plate-less, and like it that way... you need a "choice 4" for those of us in non-front-plate states who don't want a front anything to disturb our airflows or aesthetics...

My super stickey tape didn't hold on my GB plate "SM ILE" when I crossed the yellow to give an ailing motorist some room. The darn scored asphalt in the center of the road caused shaking and the plate tore right off.
Looks better with nothing on the front anyway. ps, when you order your Euro plate, I suggest digging deeper than the EU model on the front page.

Anyone seen Europlates mounted on the R56 using the ziptie technique that jibhoe described (https://www.northamericanmotoring.co....php?t=67685)? I planned on mounting mine yesterday but quickly realized the front grille is too different from the R53 to do follow jibe instructions. Any suggestions/pics?
Target has some very good velcro, better than any I found at Home Depot, Ace Hardware or Orchard Supply. It is a platic type, not the regular soft fuzzy type. It hold very good. It is a kinda transparent one.
here are my Euro plates. Just put them on last weekend

... Erin Go Bragh!

Thats what I have on my MCSa! GB Euro Plates, real too!

I have recently debated doing some sort of replica tags tough.
