MINI in Forza 2
So i did some more runs in my B class MINI last night. I still have a very hard time running down the AWD cars. Im starting to wonder if i should drop the mini down to C class?
(I actually ask the guys nicely to not run me over at the start of the race.
)
I can out brake them easily but this only gets me right on their bumper, as soon as we exit, they pull away. (No matter how i have my gearing setup)
Maybe i should drop to C class because alot of times im running against guys with 100 more HP than me or more. If we are on any kind of track with a good straight in it, or small straights inbetween the twisties, im pretty much done for unless they mess up.
Im thinking about getting an AWD car for B class. Maybe a MK2 golf with the AWD conversion. or an Integra with AWD conversion.
We need to get more people on xbox live! It is really fun, and makes the game twice as fun as single player.

And man, how awesome is the Renault Clio? I wish we could get them here...

The game is insane-o there is sooo much i need to do, it will keep me busy for months. But honestly its the xbox live part that makes the game so fun for me. Dont get me wrong i think the game is awesome with just single player. I think it is better than any of the grand torismo games. But thats my opinion. However with me getting xbox live recently puts the fun factor of the game onto a whole new level.
So has anyone on xbox live seen the grey/silver MCS in B class, that says in huge letters on the back "Lesbo Limo"
whats up with that???
How are you going to use a car and make fun of it at the same time? or maybe i am taking it the wrong way?

my tag is (PM me), but go easy on me - I just got the game a few days ago and as someone who is impatiently waiting for my mini to get here I'm only in the A-Class because I spent ALL of my early credits hooking up my mini lol.

But if you plan to race these cars online, getting every mod for them isnt always the best thing to do, as it will sometimes put you in a class that isnt too good for your car.
When i get home from work im going to start added people to my friends list.

Online has been bothering me alot lately. Seems very difficult to find a good room without those stupid people that cant seem to drive their car properly. or you get the rooms with no collisions, I dont like that to much, it aint racing.
Please send me some invites so I can enjoy this game again: HAWG70

Yeah i know what you mean about the car bumping, i think alot of it has to do with people driving fast RWD cars with lots of HP and not knowing how to drive them. They end up fish tailing out of turns and sliding all over the place, normally taking you out with them.
Also people havent learned to "call out their postion", because most of us play in a view where you cannot see whats beside you, i try to call out left or right side if i am beside them or about to over take them. If they hit you intensionally after calling it out then the host should warn them or kick them out of the room.
Sometimes stuff happens and thats just racing but when people just slam into you and dont even try to go around or pass cleanly then they should be removed from the room.
Or the people who cant pass you and purposly try to spin you out.
Not everyone is like this, i have met some good drivers on the game who are really nice. But the higher the class you go the more "immature" the people seem to get. But thats just my opinion.
we will have to hook up and get some races going without the stupid drivers.

My name is X Skydiver X...I'll be adding some of you tonight. If I miss you and you haven't gotten a Friend Request from me yet...add me! I'll refer to NAM.
I've got like 50 cars, but some notables...two AWD 483hp Integras with matching graphics (one white, one black). A 1000hp 2002 Camaro SS. A 900hp Lingenfelter Corvette. A Mini Cooper...stock...for now. Tons of others...but I don't have all day to list them :-D
NAM Mini races sounds awesome!

Played Mini Mizer and GregW today. They're cool...and they don't race dirty. I did, on the other hand, when I was way ahead and stopped in the middle of the track and took Greg out...
Here are some pics of my Mini in the game.

Why is that a shame? The original Forza was only available on the Xbox. And Gran Tourismo 5 will likely only be available on the Playstation, just like the four before it.
I am not allowed in that section of the store any longer. I just cannot handle those controllers they have. I need something nailed down. I do miss playing online. The PC games today suck for online gaming due to all the cheats and hacks avialble for various games.
The Mini is a great D class car if you tune it right. I cant be stopped online with it, but after that it just cant handle the other cars sadly. We must get some NAM races going. How bout tonight
And what Career level are most of yall. I hit 40 yesterday

X Skydiver X won the mini race. Although i think his MINI is A or S class, i cant remember. I was trying to push my little B class mini too hard to stay in first and ended up hitting a wall.

Im gonna try to do the whole...download picture thing sometime today and post pictures of a few of my cars.
My Mini is a C class, which I think it very well fitting for it. I like to think it is fast...
I may or may not be on tonight, but I know that Matt and HAWG have me on their freinds list so if you see me on shoot me an invite and I will defintely be down for some MINI racing!

Forgot to add, right now I am at level 29 in career.

I love how after you've done a lap or two around the track the dust starts to show up on the body of the car...check the difference between my second pic and my third pic in the pictures a few posts up of the blue Mini. The third pic is before I started driving around the track and the second pic is about two laps in...pretty cool, gotta love this game.
btw...if anybody wants me to put the NorthAmericanMotoring.com vinyl on their Mini I'd be happy to so you don't have to go through what I did, lol.

They're more hardcore racing sims than anything on the consoles, but very fun once you get used to it. Also, there's a ton of user created tracks and cars available, alot of which are very high quality. I haven't done a ton of online races yet, but the ones I have were very professional and on the level. The other nice feature is the ability to run your own server, bandwidth permitting...
A really nice looking MINI Cup Challenge mod for rFactor is set to be released any day now.
They say the only solution is to buy another, but last time I checked there were no recomended ones to use. I just plug straight into may modem when playing online, it is annoying, but at least I get to playhopefully I can get online and play with yall soon, but the new Girlfriend is really cutting into the gaming time
