The Italian Job

I'm not much of a movie watcher, but I did rent and watch The Italian Job tonight...just to see some MINI's Some the lines in the movie were definitely corny, but the MINI-motion was fun to watch...

...I'd rate it about 3 and half bags of popcorn

John

Its that movie, that turned me on to mini's... now a treasure hunt, using minis, running up and down the eastern seaboard, similiar to what they did in the movie.. would be a blast

I just watched the original last night. Michael Caine is soooo coool.
Anyway, the rally and running around crazily sounds great, but forget dumping them off the cliff.
It was like watching Bambi's mother being shot. Tears and all.

A couple of days ago I experienced the Italian Job in REAL LIFE. There were 3 MINIs (red, blue, and pepper white) including mine waiting for a left turn. As soon as the light turned green, all three of us went. My friends in the car hollered, "ITALIAN JOB!!!" Too bad none of the other drivers noticed, but those 5 seconds were awesome!

If some one with a Pepper White MINI wants to come by we can do the "Irish Job". I have a BRG MINI and my wife has a Hot Orange MINI. We'll stop by the local liquor store and run off with some Guiness and Irish wiskey.

My wife got me both movies for Xmas last year. I love them both (although the ending of the original is very disappointing.) I watch the remake 1x/month...kind of like going to church!

Amen - or should it be AMINI?

Funny... I'd bet that if you owned a classic Mini, too, you might watch both movies 1x/month. Now that would be better than church, period.

I almost hate to admit that I was in the theater watching the orginial movie...sort of dates me. Both movies were super cool, but then, why shouldn't they? They both featured Mini Coopers as the stars!!
