Sourcing Parts - JCW Motorsports?

Hey everyone.
Been looking at the "tuning" sections of our forum....and there seems to be more "bling" talk than performance tuning talk.. Im not really looking to make a show car. More of a sleeper than anything eye cathcing...

anyways...

I've been talking with Paul from John Cooper Works in England....he says, "We are able to mail order our range of Motorsport parts worldwide. The best way to do this is to place an order on our website and when I get this I'll get the order packed so I can give you a shipping quote. We won't process the order until you have accepted the shipping charge."

So, there is a ton of things that can be ordered from them. Most would make any car illegal in the states, but some things, like safety gear would be great.

Anyone gone this route? Anyone have any Mini Challenge parts on their car?

thanks for the feedback..

People have been trying for years however they would never ship any of their parts or allowed them to be fitted outside their garages. When did he tell you this - recently? Phil Wicks mentioned something about this to me last fall but nothing seemingly came of it at the time.

Cool - well that could be great news. I know more than one person who has been trying to get their hands on the brake air ducts for years now.

Why wouldn't they sell the JCM parts to all comers? Limiting sales of JCW stuff I can understand.

Notice carefully on the website that they will NOT ship and you MUST have fitted in UK the 225HP upgrade kit.

order placed, order accepted.

BUT

you must be ordering the motorsport gear only, all normal JCW stuff must be sourced from mini dealer...

For everyone who was interested. Got the kit today from England. Tow hook is nice, uses nylon webbed strap thats mounted to a triangle bracket that bolts into the hole. Team fleece is excellent.

Pedals and shift **** are not JCW branded, they have someone elses name on them But I guess its whats used in the series. Not sure if I will use the pedals...if anyone wants them, let me know and I can send you pictures. May ditch the shift **** in favor of a turner motorsports option or the JCW dealer option that is on the website...
