Longacre Hot Lap Timer
I just purchased a hot lap timer. Before I fab my own mounting bracket, just curious if anyone else has a lap timer & where/how they mounted it in their Mini.

Here are some pics:
This is for an Intercomp timer. I bought some mirror brackets that are designed to mount to a roll cage. Then I went to ACE hardware and bought a carriage bolt, a couple of urethane washers and a know to mount it to the brackett. My sensor has a slot that is about 1/4" wide running down the length on one side that I but the carriage bolt through to attach it to the bracket.

>>How about the display?

Still working on that one - probably shouldn't look at it while driving anyways. Right now it's sitting in the rear cupholder.

Receiver mounting w/o rollbar
I'm trying to figure out how to get my receiver mounted too, and without a rollbar it's going to be interesting.
Anyone come up with a solution? I would hate to reinvent the wheel if not necessary!

I'll take some pics of my setup and post it here a little later.
Basically, I've mounted the display under the switch panel.
The receiver is mounted on my camera mount - which is mounted to the passenger head rest posts. You can see this in my gallery:

Click on that image and you'll get a very close-up view and you can see the receiver mounted on the "modified" camera tri-pod post
mounted horizontally to the passenger seat.
Whatever you do, don't get distracted with the lap timmer during you lap sessions. It can log up to 60 laps. Review your laps times
after the session and then log it in your note book.
