Seems like a lot of autocross/track prepped MINIs out there, but I barely get to see pics of the builds! Thought it'd be good to have everyone's pics in one place, since a lot of us have separate build threads. There's a similar thread on the evo forums, which is where I got the idea - show us your prepped MINIs!!

I'll just throw my old MINI out here - it was never prepped, totally stock, but still had a blast driving it. Everyone else, detailed, AX/track prepped minis!!

 

We've run all our MINI except the first, but until now we haven't "prepped" any of them. We've just had track/autocross wheels.

We first had Quentin on Track in 06. That was his only outing, even the wheels were stock:



We first got Tristan on track in 08, still with stock wheels:



The we got Shawn on track in 09, with stock wheels:



Then we got the dedicated track wheels in 09, Shawn and Tristan shared them:





Then we got Algy, he needed his own wheels (and I added the GP diffuser, and changed the brake pads):



Then we started autocrossing Tristan:



I did eventually get Tristan an alignment.

Now we're running Bertie, with new wheels (and an alignment):



Bertie is getting new shocks and a rear bar soon. I'm intending to take him on track a few times next year.

Most of the track Photos are taken by Dito at GotBlueMilk he has the good equipment and access to good spots to take the photos. We just add photos to our budget for the track days. If there's no photographer covering an event, we try to get some ourselves, but you're so far from the track its difficult to get a good shot with the equipment we have. For autocross it helps there are two of us, so one of us can take the photos while the other is running. Autocross allows spectators to get pretty close to the action, so you can get pretty good shots from the sidelines.

Here is our car as it sat at the end of this year. Car is run at SCCA Solo in the STX class. Current competition in the class is RX-8s, e36 325s, FRS, BRZ.

The 2014 National Solo Schedule came out and the wife and I are targeting something like 10 national level events (match tours, pro solos, national tours) and our second trip to Nationals. Not 100% sure we'll continue to run the mini nationally next year but we'll definitely be running it locally.

The car will likely get some small changes over the winter when I tear down the suspension to send the TCK shocks off to be rebuilt (AGAIN!). More spring and a lighter custom built exhaust. Possibly a race seat in the drivers side to shed some more weight. Also considering lighter custom 2-piece rotors for the JCW calipers. Although we may end up just starting the STU build on our STI instead
