What class am I? (SCCA)

I am considering going to an Auto-X event this weekend, and need to know what class I am in order to register. The drop down has easily 50 options, so I need some help picking the right one.

I have a 2009 MCSC with the JCW Tuning Kit installed. No other mods done, performance or visual. What class would I be in?

It all depends on what club is putting on the event. Is it SCCA? If so from my previous experience ( haven't run in 5 years ) dealer or port installed options - your JCW tuning kit makes it a modified class car. Regular factory JCW production cars run BS in SCCA. Your best bet would be a "street tire class" or STX.
If you must put down something for online entry use BS. Once at the event some one should be able to help correctly class the car.

Good luck!

The SCCA has a list here. http://cms.scca.com/documents/Solo_R...nufacturer.pdf

However they dont say anything about the 09's so it might be at the discretion of the event chair or something.

Eek, according to that chart the 02-05 Cooper S with Tuning Kit isn't permitted. I hope its not the same for the 06+ with Tuning Kit.

That is stock category, and no it won't fit there, try STX http://cms.scca.com/documents/Solo_R...nufacturer.pdf
or you may fit in DSP http://cms.scca.com/documents/Solo_R...nufacturer.pdf
My region has a forum where you can ask what class you fit in with your equipment and those that know will let you know which one (SCCA has more classes than a dogs got flees). Sign up as STX and ask when you get there, changing class is not difficult.

After speaking with the coordinators they suggest that STX was likely to correct class for me, that will confirm that Sunday.

Jeremy, if is a factory JCW, you are currently in B-Stock. Like I am.

if the JCW kit was installed after the factory, you're in STX.
