this past weekend i went to VW FixxFest5, i was the only MINI running down the track.

my best was a 14.9 @ 94MPH
with a consistant 2.4 60FT

my tires are shot, so i think if i had good tires i could possibly be high 13's

Sounds like a drag strip, not a track.

 

Nice run, but considering you had a 2.4s 60' time (and presumably, your wheels had stopped spinning by that point), I don't think you're going to pick up anywhere near a full second by replacing your tires.

With my stock Pirelli run-flats on the car my wheels wouldnt stop spinning through the first 60 feet. I got new BF Goodrich GeForce Sport tires and they worked for a while until I got my new header, cat, and RMW cam and I havent gone to the strip but the tires slip in THREE gears! Anyways, I'm thinking something wider maybe...Oh, and it would also give me an excuse to maybe widebody the car
