Sweetwater BBQ maybe? It's not on the Cherohala proper - but is on the right as you come through Robbinsville on the way back toward Fontana. And it's VERY yummy...
Nope..Sweetwater is in Rville. This place is at the western end of the Cherohalla Skyway.
So far I think I'm the only one crazy enough to be camping at Fontana....I'm already starting to smell the campfire burning....I have to work on Friday so I will be coming in very early Saturday. Keep your eyes open for a lowered CR/W S with GT stripes and 18's sometimes I have my "16" numbers on the sides too.....
Ocean
bring warm clothing...it's gonna be cold up there this time of year....
Mod Session with Dan Zipkin from Grassroots Garage canceled.
As you may have read a few posts up from here, Dan Zipkin from Grassroots Garage had something come up and can't make it to the Dragon, so obviously, the tech session will be canceled. So, that time is now free, unless someone has an idea.
Hey where have you been? I haven't seen you on here for a long time and was starting to worry. And now I see that I'll be seeing you this weekend. Cool!
Hey TWISTER, don't forget the Disc Golf Tournament is at 4, and there's alot of people playing. What about 3? I think people could do the Blimey run, then make it back in time for the parade/photo, then be at the tourney at 4......

I think that sounds like a good idea. As I want to take part in it all!
We finally meet! I didn't bring any models or even any beer... I planned to have a quiet weekend in the mountains before heading back to der Fatherland...guess that's right out!
Are you staying at Fontana? I'll be bouncing back and forth between y'all and the Club Roadster crowd...both centered on the Fontana.

Yup! I'm in a lodge room and will be getting in before noon on Friday. Looking forward to it. I owe you some beers for sure!

We are in late Friday night... what is the Frequency for the radios so we can see if anyone is around at night?
J
Channel 7, subchannel 21 is the "official" MOTD channel - I suggest we use that as primary for consistency. The Tar Heel club uses 20 sub 20. Other clubs use other combinations typically. Most radios can be set to scan selected channels - so I scan between the MOTD and the THMMC channels...
I say we use 20-20 for ease of remembering, and since most of us use it anyway. 20-20 is easy to remember, and easy to pass on.....I have posted the frequency on the revised program.
