hi, I am a total Mini noob...

I test drove the Cooper S and ordered JCW...

My concern right now is the color....
Its not in production yet so I think i can change the color...
I ordered a pepper white with red hardtop and jcw bonnet stripes.

Because I never seen pepper white OR white silver in person... I don't know which one is the exact look i'm going for.

If you guys have any pepper white or white silver with red tops, please post your pics.

and... is it just me or does it look really really similar on pictures?

anyway... excited for my JCW.

Under my vinyl, my MINI is pepper white body/roof. I like it but I don't really care for the PW with red roof look. I've seen one in person and the red just kinda looks out of place.

I think it's because the red is a sporty color and the pepper white is usually a classy color. I've found a few pics online of the car you're talking about. I think the white silver would look better. The white silver isn't your average silver or gray color. It's a really, really pretty color and would go great with the red roof and JCW stripes.

The MINI configurator online doesn't very accurately represent the PW color. It gives it an almost brownish hue but the color is basically a non metallic cream. The white silver is a very bright silver and while it is metalic, the particles that make it metalic are extremely fine so it just looks like a solid shimmery color instead of sparkley like most, boring silvers.

The configurator represents white silver pretty well in my opinion as long as your computer monitor is calibrated correctly.

The color of your car is very important, I'd say it's worth a trip to your MINI dealer to see what the colors look like in person.

Now i'm considering Eclipse Gray w/Red top... its safe...

 

Eclipse Gray is a better choice. I still really like the white silver color but that's my preference, not yours.

I'd say EG is a good choice if you want to black out the chrome and go for a darker theme and WS is a good choice if you're going to leave the car somewhat stock and commit to the chrome. It just looks classy but sporty.

 

Never understood the red top thing myself. It looks more out of place on some colors like Pepper white, IMO the car just ends up looking dirty all the time with the amount of black plastic along the lower portion of the car and the bright contrast to the red roof.

I'd definitely go pure silver if you want the red top.

 

Yeah.... I think it looks decent and unique in the configuration but I don't think it'll look good in real life...
But I love the red top and its jcw exclusive so I really want a red top.
I went from pepper white to white silver to eclipse gray to midnight black.

So I changed my order to midnight black jcw!

Too excited.

Pepper white and red was my first choice. My wife did't want to go for the red roof though.

I'm surprised you've never seen it in person, its one of the most common colours, and probably the only one which has been in the range since the beginning. Doesn't your dealer have one in stock?

unfortunately... i currently live in Mississippi (I'm military) and the closest Mini dealer is 2.5 hrs away...

I bought my car over the phone...

 

Go with the white silver, it looks fantastic when in the shade and when in the sun. It's like two different colors on one car, but that's my take since I have that color on my MINI.

 

White silver... That's my second (black) JCW. But I don't like the red rooftop. Altough it's childish combination, it is cherry-ish red..

 

I have pepper white with red top and JCW stripes and red mirror caps. Its really nice!

 

Nice choice! That's what I picked before finally deciding on the EG/CR!
