2011/2012 JCW Black Face Speedo

Can a 2009 JCW White face be converted to black if so where do you get the part

Looks like you would have to take it apart and put in a third party one because you can't get it individually from the dealer. They just sell it as a whole.

This is a popular mod on the R50/R53 would just be an issue if the back lighting was different on the black vs the white.

I called my dealer and they quoted over 1000 for the parts and 250 for the labor. They woudl need to disassemble the dash, replace the speedo face, the entire tach and reporgram it with my mileage, make me fill out a form for the state… it became way to expensive… :(

I'm actually surprised they only wanted $250 for the labor. The dash takes forever to take apart and put back together again if you want to keep all the parts in one piece.

The mod on R50/53 uses aftermarket speedo faces. MINI does not sell dial faces in any color, just entire instruments. There are vinyl speedo and tach overlays for the R56 available from a couple of vendors.

Right and aftermarket is the only way I could see it happening. Going OEM is crazy expensive.
