I think the silence is the answer. I am pretty sure if this guy won he would have been alllllll over the forum. Since the dealer never added their 10 cents to the forum I wonder what the "other" side of the story was...

I am not so convinced. He has come and gone with his posts and remember, lawyers get paid by the HOUR....it could take months!

He does say in a post above that it would take a few weeks for a ruling. I have done this before, you don't walk out with an answer.

I think the Supreme Court has it on their docket now.

Maybe MINI succeeded in getting a gag order imposed as part of any settlement.

What are you confused about? He was on here giving his full story. You don't think that lawyers would love a print out of this thread? They can use all the information that posted here against him if needed, not to mention the fact that he openly admitted to tuning the car and over revving it. You might was load the gun and hand it to them to shoot you.

If you ever plan to sue, you never post on-line about it....

I must have chosen the wrong smiley face as I agree it's not confusing at all. I was trying to point out in general what can be learned from some of the sig's on here , not specifically in this case. Posting your mods or hp and tq figures might come back to haunt you down the road.

I'm thinking we will never hear the resolution. Either it went badly, or he agreed to a non-disclosure in whatever settlement was reached.

LOL, fair enough. I went by the smiley.

Yes, they certainly can, especially if you want warranty on that engine and drive train.

No, he's probably right, just wrong wording. Not a gag order, that phrase is usually only used during trial to keep details out of the papers. Its a confidentiality agreement, and its extremely common in settlement agreements.

Yeah, but that dude can't keep his mouth shut so I don't think that is it.

OK, that was a little mean. Sorry Island (posted because it was out there for a few min already).

I genuinely hope that things are working in your favor.

It's not slanderous if they are "dirt bags".

"Dirt bags" from his biased point of view. How would you prove they ARE "dirt bags?"

Round and round she goes,
Where she stops,
Nobody knows.
