So I have had my 09 jcw R56 for one week now, and I am sort of amazed by the noise inside the cabin from all sort of rattling, squeaks, etc is this normal and will switching the BSH engine mount back to stock fix some of this noise?

Or is this with all minis just some annoying thing we have to live with?

It will get rid of boot area rattles.

Get a louder exhaust, then you can't hear any rattles....seriously though. If you can figure out where they come from, jam some foam under the offending panel so it can't wiggle. The service department does this for squeaks. Just figure out where it rubs and make it stop.

 

My 09 JCW has 34k miles on it and doesn't rattle or squeek at all.

I have some cheap after market exhaust with bsh engine mount which I am told sometimes makes the engine noise in the cabin louder?

Alta cai swooshing I am ok with but the rattle of something loose behind the dash on drvr and passenger sidenis driving me crazy
I am seriously considering ordering the oem jcw exhaust from the dealer
To cut down on drone and extra vibrations it's killing me
