First tank of Gas 27MPG calculated

27 for the forst tank which is not bad. Should get better with time. Detailer had to move my car so they drove it too. Always a lottle more agrressive to start to test the new car. I am expecting it to get about 30 combined which what I got in my S.

I got 30MPG all the time in mixed Seattle/freeway driving. If I drove it hard 29 was the worst. I was playing around a lot on my first tank and the detailers moved the car also to their new shop. Once Black Jack is broke-in I think it will be about the same. Very happy. I never really took my 2010 on any road trips to see the highway mileage was. Had 12K at trade in. My commute was about 45 miles each way on mostly freeway but it would be stop and go at the rush hours. Gauge is off about 2 MPG in this car and the other

I'm getting a little less than 30 with about 90% city driving right now.

I get 33 mpg on long freeway trips, manually calculated, That's using cruise control, traveling 5 mph over the posted speed limit i.e. 75 mph.

In mixed driving, around home, I get 24-25 mpg, but I use sport mode/ manual shift and I'm romping on it alot!

I have to see how it will do in highway driving, mainly city driving at the moment, not using sport mode.

Try here: http://www.fuelly.com
Good Site for longer-term data as you get not only tank-by-tank information, but a running average.
There is the ability to enter Notes for each tank so you can keep track of things like use of the Sport Button, etc.

My 2011 JCW seems to be getting marginally better average gas mileage than my 2009 JCW did. Since there have been no major software/tuning changes over the model run, I would chalk it up to just the differences between individual cars. With around 2600 miles on the car now, I've been averaging around 25-26 mpg with mostly around-town driving, and got as high as 31 mpg on an early highway trip. Most of my roadtrips include a roofrack with one or two bikes on it, and running a bit more than the posted speed limit, and I'm still getting 25-28. I think that's more than great for the performance built into these cars.

I drove it for the first time in the freeway, felt like i was just gliding with no traffic. Love the smoothness.

This was something I was wondering about as well. My 2011 justa has ~1100 miles on it so far. The computer is saying that the average is usually between 26.1 and 26.5 mpg's. When I check the current mpg's while driving, it only measures if I'm accelerating at a steady speed (otherwise it really fluctuates), and the number coming back is usually above 40mpg, which is kinda unrealistic. I've only been using 93octane since I've had the car, and my commute is usually half freeway (where I'm usually doing 5 above the posted, up through to 70mph), and half city where its anywhere from 30-40 mph. So my question is, aside from manually calculating, does this seem normal for my average mpg's so far to be ~26.1 after two months of ownership and 1100 miles? I was expecting it to be at least 28, as per the window sticker. Any input is appreciated

Well after two fill ups and reset each time i fill up, mine shows an average of 24mpg... so somethings off, when i calculated one tank and the miles i drove it comes out to 29-31mpg average with mostly conservative city driving not using sport mode and occasional freeway driving once a week.
