Finally took delivery of my JCW

Here is my 2011 JCW. Awesome car. After 3 years driving other vehicles I am back in a Mini. Wow this is fun, just need to take it easy for the first few miles!!

Very nice, but does look a bit odd with the red mirror caps with the rest of the car being black on black...

Kept the options pretty basic, BT, Xenons, Cloth(red stitching), interior surface red, white signals, carbon black color line. Originally ordered the Aero kit but ended up taking it without. Couldn't justify the extra $3k and I really am liking the updated look. Will take some more photo's tomorrow.

It looks WAY better than an entire red roof on a black car..

Nice car! Enjoy

Nice car! Enjoy
Thanks. As much as I liked the red roof I prefered going this route, easy to change up if I get bored of the look. Also less unwanted attention from a LEO.

So I took a beautiful drive up to the canyons in Malibu this morning. Finally able to get some time behind the wheel and really enjoy the car. Stopped by the Rock Store, nobody was there, unlike the weekend masses! First impressions are the JCW has alot of power-hard to keep it under 4500rpm for now-and handling in stock form is exceptional. My previous modded, supercharged 2005 S was very different. The turbo response is amazing and always ready at the slightest touch of the pedal. This car can definitely keep up with any car out there in the twisties! Fantastic car

Couple of pics of the interior. I like the cloth because of the contrasting stitching. Just had a medium tint installed, very happy with the final look.

I special ordered the car back in September.

I got the checkered JCW floor mats in mine, but I like those with the white piping too. Are those the "regular" MINI carpeted mats now? or something else?

Congrats! Reading your post made me homesick for the west coast. You guys have the best weather and roads for MINI motoring...IMHO Enjoy your beautiful JCW.

Car looks sweet! Are those black side scuttles the JCW option or are the stock ones black for 2011?

No, the scuttle is OEM. That is the 2011 scuttle design for the Cooper.

Then I got a different scuttle, because mine have the 2011 shape but are all chrome.

You got the standard 2011 Chrome JCW scuttle. The OP did also BUT when he picked his MINI up at the dealer he opted to have them install the black scuttles from the 2011 Cooper (justa) instead. That's the difference.

I'm gonna guess he painted or plasti-dipped his scuttles. The Justa scuttles are ribbed plastic, the JCW's are chrome with just one "wave" in the middle. From the little pictures, his look like blackened versions of the JCW.

No. Check the 2011 LCI section of motoringfile. The cooper side scuttles have been updated and are now quite stylish. See below.

Beautiful car. I like the black roof better than the red also. I am trying to like the red roof on the new JCW, buy I am not sure. Maybe it will grow on me.

Oooh...I like those. Would look great on a black or white car, not so much on other colors.

Biggripper is right. The scuttles are off a base 2011 Cooper. Switched them out when my car came in. They work well with the black car, rather than the chrome that comes on the JCW.
