Just ordered...now hope I can sell my existing car
I got a great price so I wanted to order asap - I just need to sell my car now!
I was told it would be about a month from now so wish me luck. I heard conflicting stories about whether or not the deposit was refundable. Here's hoping

what kind of price if you don't mind?
yeah the paperwork I have says 1685 off MSRP and I had to fight for it. I'm sure the dealer isn't real happy with me but I don't plan on going there for service so what's done is done
I just hope my car sells between now and when I need to pick it up.

Worst comes to work, could you afford to lose a bit in resale value by trading?

That might be what I'll end up doing, but I have a convertible and the prices tend to drop off sharp starting around July...I'm wondering if a Carmax down south would buy my car for more since weather is less of an issue there.
just throw it on Autotrader and Craigslist and see if it gets hits... youll always get more doing a private sale, even if you have to knock off some from the asking price....
I Ordered my mini with a 7 week wait... sold my car in 6 days lol. Had to borrow a friends f150 for 5 or so weeks..... and that was when gas was around 4-something a gallon lol.

Well now I think I'm in the same boat! Just had a potential buyer say he wants it.
The only difference is I get to borrow my friend's MB
Didn't think I'd see the day!!! it's good to see some good come out of the economic slowdown/stalemate!
Sweet specs!
I'm aiming for a Horizon Blue JCW Clubman myself.
I hope you have better luck selling your car than I have had
as I have been trying very hard to sell my 06 JCW for the last 8 months having advertised it just about EVERYWHERE possible and reduced the price by over $5000
Trying to work a trade deal with my local dealer was tough as they would discount the 09 JCW but would not give me nearly enough for my car.....not even some kind of low end book value (like BB or KBB or whatever).......and this was an older MINI (LESS than 3 years old!) trading up to a new MINI.

When I got rid of my Mazda 3 hatch to get my R32, I actually got $1000 more selling to the VW dealer than Carmax, so get quotes from everyone. After having it listed for private sale for 2 weeks and having gotten maybe 2-3 calls about it, most offering less than Carmax, I just sold it to the dealer and took a loss.
