Well, since I'm worth like $500 an hour, then I'd say labor cost me like $1500. LOL. Yeah, I did it myself. Took me forever though. I think I got stuck at trying to get one of the screws that were super hard to reach on either side. Here's a video (and there's a whole thread dedicated to how to do it yourself):

That is gorgeous - love the new LED fogs. Thought I might want a Roadster some day, but that MINI dragged me back the other way.

Your so kind!

My first love was my '05 MCSC, but this one is such a huge improvement on every front. For my purposes, so much more practical than a roadster...and with a fully automatic top (that now opens and closes at speed!), it's really a Swiss Army knife! I've had three passengers + me for a 30 min drive who were all pleasantly surprised. Bigger things than you'd think fit through the expanding rear trunk, and with the seats down, I can really pack it when needed. No matter what, it loves the road ~ any type of road (even freeways, which the '05 wasn't brilliant on). And a twisty road just begs for the top down and the sport button on!

Beautiful car! The black/white color theme throughout the car looks tremendous.

Another gorgeous Roadster JCW in Pepper White! I went stripeless too, but I'm getting the chrome version of the 17" Challenge Spoke wheels.

Some new pics. Was up in Assen on Monday with the Renault Sport Group racing around the Assen TT Circuit. This is the last time I will have a chance to do Assen or Nurburgring before I head back to the states in a few months.

MINI Roadster vs Mazda Miata

Hi everyone,

I thought you might be interested in a visual comparison between a 1992 Miata and 2013 Roadster. I took a grab shot of our two Roadsters "side by each" and the MINI is maxi in comparison. Still loving the '92 and really loving the '13.

Thank you.
No, I did not install it myself, although I believe this is a fairly straightforward DIY project. I had my local, neighborhood MINI shop put it on for me (2 hours labor). I think having the car up on a lift would make the install much easier, which was the main reason I didn't do it myself.

Looks really good, especially with White Silver and the JCW trim. I have the diffuser kit now and will be installing soon. Pictures to follow.

Hi koopy - my detailer (lee from concours finishes in sydney) apparently used gtechniq products on my car to get it looking like this. The liquid glass finish is fantastic - I've hand washed it four times now since it was done and it still looks like this!
