It is the factory grill with the aero kit. However, I switched out the top trim piece for black. Believe it or not, the lower piece is different and so I could not use the lower trim piece that came with the black kit. So I used Plasti-dip and it seems to be working fine.

Looks great Followed your progress over at totalMINI too. Eibachs give it just the right stance.

Super nice pics guys. I'm thinking about trading in my '10 Civic Si for a JCW. You guys having any issues with the Drive By Wire system on manual tranny models? Reason I ask is because the Si has this terrible thing were it will hold the revs for a second in between shifts. It's really annoying and makes driving smoothly on a consistent basis impossible. Basically that's the only reason I'm looking at other cars.

Weird that it wouldn't use either a Cooper S lower grill trim piece or a Cooper lower grill trim, although it wouldn't be the first time they made multiple parts when they could have used just one.

If you're in Sport mode it does just fine. Out of Sport mode I stall the car all the time. I automatically hit Sport mode as soon as I start the car.

Agree completely. I put this module in to keep from having to press the button each time I start the car. I also use it in autocross to automatically turn off traction control and activate the ediff.

Finally got my hands on my new to me 2009 JCW Clubman:

Here it is home after 1,578 miles. Cleaned up real nice. The whole front of the car was a disaster of bug parts and bug juice!

JCW chewing gum

MINI has a stand at the Sony-Ericsson tennis tournament in Key Biscayne and they were giving out JCW chewing gum!
No one does "alternative advertisement"like mini.

I got Clubman gum when I ordered a part last year. It's still sitting on my desk, unopened.

Can't argue with the red on black. It's just plain sexy!

JCW Recaros... I'd love to have a set of those in mine too. Post pics when you get them installed.

Okay, so I finally stopped driving long enough to take some pics and post them. Now I'm afraid I'll be going to the doctor to see if the now permanent sh** eating grin is a serious medical problem or not...

OK. Now on to why I added this new picture. My first go round with having the Challenge stripes did not end well. The installer did not line them up properly and the passenger side stripes were put on upside down. He ordered another set and put them on a few weeks ago.

I just had the car washed and took these pictures. The stripes are almost perfect.

My mods are almost done. I will be replacing the stock run flats with Nitto Neogens in the next few weeks. And then... I am done.

I was reading through the posts in this thread when I came across this old post of mine. My mods are almost done... LOL .

This is what my car looks like now:

This is my 2 day old 2011 Mini JCW in Chili red/black roof, lounge leather, chili red interior surface, visual boost and CF bonnet scoop.

As has been said earlier, I need to see if I can get that silly grin removed from my face. My wife will have it tomorrow and I am sure I am going to suffer separation anxiety (from the JCW of course).

And what is better than one Mini in your driveway? Two of them of course!

Hubble bubble, double trouble
