I'm planning on ordering one after I order an MCS for my wife. We'd like to see the 3 new colors first though. I think a PW JCW w/ Black sport stripes would look sharp.

If you check out this thread, you'll see that a fair number of us have already ordered. Mine's PS/PS, with very minimal spec. I can't wait!

Mid July delivery expected here. I'm not sure if I'm going to make it.

 

I'm waiting for the new colors to come out. Then I will be ordering.

 

I decided today was the day .... and the saleslady I've been dealing w/left @ 4pm today; I got there @ 4:45. Ok, I'll try again tomorrow! edit: and then I just read the post by Performance Angst... "new colorS"? I knew about a new black, but not colorS, plural. OK, now again, I may be waiting... uhgh!

 

JCW's production spots are in high demand and hard to find at this point. Good luck all and I cannot wait to hear your stories. I have an '05, ordered an '08 and did not take delivery and cannot wait to order a JCW Mini. I just hope when the time comes, there will be room for one more on the list! I want BRG, black roof, body kit, cloth seats, and Navigation(easily lost!). I want classy and fast. This will be my second BRG and I cannot wait......... anyone want my '07 G6Sedan?!?!?!?!?!?

 

I ordered my 09 JCW in early May from a dealer allocation. It was completed today per the guy at 877 ASK MINI. My order was originally week 23 but the dealer said it was bumped to week 25 (I saw it online at the dealer) when we added the factory Aero :( Since its finished today and there's a ship leaving on 6/11 I'm hoping

I have 2 spots left to configure one for week 31 and one for week 34 and one JCW clubman for week 33.

 

I just ordered mine. DS/DS, loaded. Only thing I think I didn't get was the factory body kit (even tho they come with painted wheel arches now which I like a lot) and the upgraded headlights. Yes, crazy money. I have no explanation... or excuse!

 

I ordered my JCW May 6, built 27th wk (July 4 wk) and I expect delivery mid August.

 

Someone jump all over this! Apparently it's hard to get one this fast nowadays

Ordered mine within 30 minutes of the bulletin being released to dealers. Arrived to the VDC in GA June 25th and is stuck there until the 14th of July. Don't know if this is true by my MA said today that it was the first one for the USA.

I walked in and test drove a MCS with JCW kit a week ago, and picked up the one slot the dealer had and ordered it a few days ago. It's a Week 32 build (2nd week August). If these are in such short supply for order I suppose I either got lucky with my timing, or the dealer was holding it out for good customers (I've leased or bought BMWs 5 times in the last 9 years).

It's a CR/Black one due in September. Can't wait.

New colors?? Do tell...

 

I'd read that there were 3 new "fun" colors coming for '09. Pink grapefruit, lively lime, (supposedly to replace BRG), and purple color, but the name escapes me. My wife's '03 MCS was Chili Red, which is still sharp, but she's currently undecided.

Ooooo.... They sound promising. Where did you hear this news?? Are you sure about the BRG being replaced, seems to much of a classic to replace.

 

Before you hold off on ordering a JCW for one of those colors, you might want to check if they will offer the car in them.

I do not believe they will, but I am not Mini North America.

 

Those colours were mentioned in an April Fool's post, there really is one born every minute

What's the current status of your JCW? Mine is stuck at the VDC in Charleston, SC.. Here's the text of an email forwarded by my MA yesterday:

This is the answer that we got back from the regional managers boss…..if I could go get it for you I would!!!!!

'The JCW HardTop & Clubman sales demos and JCW customer orders are waiting for their portfolio books to arrive so that the vehicles can be shipped. Are any of the 2009 JCWs released? What is the 'portfolio,' and why would BMW hold up transport for that?
