Alarm system on F60

I read the user manual and it mentions that there are two indicators lights - One on the interior mirror and the other in the roof fin. When I lock the car, only one on the interior mirror flashes. Not sure the one in the roof fin flashes only when the alarm is triggered

I think they may have ditched the roof fin light. I have seen the on Clubman and there is a translucent top area which is not on my F60. I do like the mirror location on the R60 you can't see it on the column with the sun shade in.

R60 sunshade fits the F60.

You can check on page 62 of the SE manual which shows both lights

It is a Euro feature, that we don't have, just like a more integrated rearview mirror mounts, and better-integrated rear headrests.

Flashing sharkfin is probably easily retrofittable though.

Just because its in the manual doesn't mean you have that feature on your car....

The sharkfin light is a euro thing, we saw it also on the new F54 Clubman.

If it shows on a US SE manual, it should be part of a car build

Also the manual shows the Mobility kit. Is it part of the CM model with Run Flat tires?

I've seen the Mobility Kit on the accessory list on MiniUSA. Not sure what is included with our SE's other than the plug-in adapter.

MA said the Mobility kit is an option for those who don't have non run flat tires. Because SEs already have run flat tires, the kit doesn't come with my car

The manual really confuses me about the kit and alarm light

Thanks! MY SE will have All Season run-flats. I'll order a mobility kit to pack, just in case

I just got a flat tire last week and it cost me $60 to repair. The run flat tire is hard and the shop charged more to patch (40 minutes)

You already got a flat?! I've been pretty lucky I guess. Can't remember the last time I got a flat. Now watch....I'll probably get one for saying that

If you don't get a Mobility Kit, I may suggest at least an air compressor so that you can inflate tires and continue driving until a repair shop is found. A jumpstart with air compressor will be a good choice

I do have portable air compressor and emergency jump start kit. Mobility kit may be easier to store in the smaller hidden boot though.
