Rear window regulator

Not a lot of traffic on this forum but hopefully someone has messed with this. My wife has a '19 F57 6MT. Someone helped himself to her purse by breaking the driver side rear window. Since I have extra time on my hands, I decided to replace it myself. Glass is incoming.

I'm a bit stumped on removing the regulator/glass assembly. There's an excellent [url=[ame=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RB6T5e2IP-g&lc=z22tdfijatyox5htkacdp432asmeype5nwep5jummehw0 3c010c]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RB6T5e2IP-g&lc=z22tdfijatyox5htkacdp432asmeype5nwep5jummehw0 3c010c[/ame]]video for an R57 here. The F57 is close enough except there's a 10MM at the back, under the regulator bracket, that needs to be loosened and is not accessible on the F57. There's a helpful hole in an adjacent bracket, which would be perfect if the other side wasn't filled with the top mechanism! I can touch the bolt but I can't see how I can get a tool in there.

The body shop was only going to bill me 2.6hr for the whole job (and 1 of those was a pad for "cleaning up the glass") so I'm probably missing something obvious.

Thanks for any tips!
Mike

Took a look with fresh eyes. I don't know how the pros do it but I used a ratcheting wrench (Gearwrench brand). I maneuvered it in blind (pointed down - there's no access from the top but from the bottom you have a little room to swing it) with a flexible magnetic pickup tool in one hand - or I would have dropped it 100 times - guiding it with the other. Doing it with a regular wrench would be hateful. You really only want to have to get it on once. Keep in mind that you're working inside the body. It's possible to ding it from the inside if you're not careful.

Also different from the video linked above was that the bottom access plug was blocked by a small amplifier. The side panels seem to have more push fasteners (3 along the front, one in back). The rear seats come out by removing (breaking - don't worry, it's cheap and you might figure it out next time) a plastic cover that reveals a 10mm bolt, which frees the inner pivot. It's tempting to think you don't have to pull the seatbacks but I don't think there's enough room. The glass capture has also been updated but it's obvious when it's in front of you. I yanked the driver's sill plate too.

Vacuuming up 100s of little bits of glass is a huge pain.

Hope this helps someone someday. Or maybe future me when I forget everything I just did.
