F55/F56 Bonnet Stripe Removal Quick Question
Bonnet Stripe Removal Quick Question
Awaiting the arrival of my new to me MINI F56. A 2024 with manual trannie! Incredibly only 3.4K miles! Maybe the last manual manufactured… who knows.
Here is my question: I plan to remove the bonnet stripes, should I expect the newly exposed paint to differ from the rest of the car’s “Zesty Yellow” color?
Thanks for comments/suggestions.
At only a couple years old, there shouldn’t be much discoloration around the stripes. Depending on miles and usage, there might be sore paint chipping across the front. In my opinion, these cars and meant for driving and personalization. If you want to remove the stripes, go for it, and enjoy!
Yep, its takes a while to get the ghost effect. I had it on mine. Maybe like 7-8 years in the sun.
Some people after the peel it off it you get some left over use this.

Then i would buff, clean, and wax the hood to make sure the color matches. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-chemical-guys-parts/
