Front Windshield Sunshade Recommendation

Hi,
Could you some advice regarding a new front windshield sunshade for my 2019 Cooper S hardtop.
Have been using the MINI folding sunshade for the past 6 years but it's now getting very worn out.
Should I get another MINI folding sunshade or one of the third party sunshades I see on Amazon or ?
Appreciate any and all recommendations.
Thanks,
Mark

Hello,

We have these and they are great, fitted per car and options.

The MINI branded ones are either back ordered or nla on some models. Also MINI did not even come out with ones for the Newest 2025+ MINIs so we have those options also.

Up until about a week ago, we've been having nice temps here in Silicon Valley, northern California.....unusual for this time of year.

But today it's 91.....so, bit on the warm side for me.....

Question Re Shade Color

UV Sunshades - Windshield (Silver) F56 Hardtop / F55 4 Door / F57 Convertible - With Sensor

UV-blocking, temperature-reducing window sunshades keep your interior comfortable and reduce energy consumption. Direct fit for your MINI. Contains a deeper "U" cut around the rearview mirror.
Mfg Part #1993-SILVERECS
Part #ES#4839794Brand
Bavarian Autosport

Question please, ECSTuning, is the shade silver on both sides?

If not, what is the color on the side facing the interior of the car?

Thanks,

Mark

I have the silver roll-up shade from ECS Tuning.

I originally wanted the Mini branded one since we have one for my wife’s F60 and I had the BMW version for my X5 and they were a great fit.

But, since they were on forever back order, as ECS has noted, I went with the roll-up shade they recommended. If rolled tightly, it takes up no more space than the folded Mini branded one. It’s also custom cut to fit your windshield and works amazingly to reflect the sun.

I would say the upside to the roll-up shade is that I don’t have to lower the sun visors to hold it in place like the more rigid accordion-style Mini shade, and since it’s more flexible, it squeezes in nicely where my V1 is mounted (to the right of the rear view mirror as high as I can get it) without me having to remove the detector or the suction cup mount.

TLDR: The roll-up shade sold by ECS Tuning is highly recommended. 😊

I went with an ebay model I have been using for over a year here in AZ. You cant park anywhere at anytime during the year without putting one in your windshield and it has held up
