JCW steering wheel paddles removed

Hi people! I have just bought a 7/2020 Mini Cooper S F56 with the automatic gearbox. The car comes with the basic leather steering wheel without the paddle shifters.
I don't care so much about the paddle shifters, I'd love to have them just to flex a bit.

So the Question is: I have found a really cheap but good looking jcw steering wheel that comes without the paddle shifters, still supporting them. Is there any way to fill the voids on the back left by the absence of the two paddles?

Thank you!

This is the back of a steering wheel without the paddles and the pastic covers

This is the back of the steering wheel I would like to buy and "fix" with the back covers

The JCW steering wheel was a common option on the Cooper and Cooper S models for many years. I’m sure you can find one that actually has the paddles, to make your swap easier. Or maybe the paddles from your Cooper S will swap over to the JCW wheel? I’m not aware of any products available to cover the holes left by the paddles if you don’t install them. Also, you might need to code the car of you remove the paddles, but not 100% sure on that front. It’s also worth noting, the MINI Yours steering wheel is the same as the JCW one except it had white stitching and was missing the JCW logo. Another option to consider.

I would just get one of our wheels, I have one in my R58 JCW alcantara. Its thicker/feels great and they are made for cars with or without paddles. See the molded pieces that pop out for paddles so you can do with or without paddles. All kind of options and finishes.

I'll trade you my JCW wheel without paddles for yours that supports them.

Actually what I meant is I'll trade you the plastic back trim, not the entire wheel.
