Compatibility with JCW steering wheel and AT

True or false, you can't use the JCW alcantara steering wheel if you have an automatic with paddle shifters. I've seen statements going both ways. Which is it?

I'm in MINI parts today, and just looked up that steering wheel, the ETK states "NOT SUITABLE FOR SHIFT PADDLES OF AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION"

Would you happen to know if the same holds true for the all leather JCW steering wheel?
THANKS

Thanks for the info. On the plus side that'll be one less thing to tempt me in deflating my wallet even FURTHER... And the stock MFSW is pretty nice so no worries!

This is true...now you can find something else to check out. If you guys have any more questions feel free to ask.

You must be getting pretty antsy with the delivery only a couple weeks away.

Please, I've been pretty antsy since BEFORE even placing my order. It actually amazes me that over two weeks have passed by so quickly; maybe this won't be so bad after all... I know once it loads the ship (hopefully soon) though I'll really be going crazy as my obsessive calling into automated Ask MINI 3 times a day will be halted. Then once it's on actual US soil alllll remnants of patience will definitely be out the door.
