JCW Sport Suspension

Any thoughts on the JCW suspension? Morristown MINI is selling it for $1036, plus installation. Since it would be covered under the MINI's warrenty, I am inclined to think about it. I wonder how much of an improvement it would be over stock?

If it's anything like the R53 JCW suspension kit (which I have along with an ALTA 22mm rear sway bar), it will make a HUGE improvement in handling, but at a HUGE (and I mean HUGE) expense in ride quality. I love my JCW suspension, but it literally knocks your socks off with every bump!

I'm definitely interested to hear various NAM user's opinion of it, as it was originally quoted (by MF I believe) that the package would actually give a slight IMPROVEMENT to the ride while still drastically improving handling... If so I'd definitely have to give it a second look; but if not (for my uses at least) a further compromise in ride wouldn't make much sense.

I think Gabe's MF review mentioned that the ride was harsher w/ the JCW suspension on regular roads, but that the handling was improved. On the track, it performed beautifully. I also like the fact that it's covered under warranty, but I'll be riding my SS then swapping out for aftermarket once the warranty is out. SS seemed like a nice compromise to me for handling vs. comfort...I just wished it lowered the car a bit.
