F55/F56 Is the Eventuri intake worth it?
Is the Eventuri intake worth it?
Short simple. Do you guys think spending 1100 dollars on an intake is worth it? I know the Hood scoop is functional and I heard it’s the best you can get. If you didn’t buy the eventuri, which intake do you have? I do plan on getting my car tuned at least to stage 2.
The Eventuri is worth every penny. You can get a "Partial Carbon Fiber Setup" with some solid plastic tubes for a bit less. Uro Tuning for $795.00

You need to define “worth it” on your terms? No way would I spend that much on an intake that gets you minimal performance gain. For the same cash, you can get a much less expensive open intake and a larger, more effective intercooler, which would give you a much better performance boost.

I thought about purchasing an Eventuri intake but decided to stick with the aFe dry panel air filter and stock intake.
Instead I’m going to upgrade the boost pipes and intercooler with Forge’s products

Did anybody buy/try this one? Not crazy expensive and might be worth it for a HP or two and some more noise?

I have been eyeing the Forge products and the Eventuri intake, but will not pull the trigger until tuning is supported for the 2020-2022 cars.

Maybe a future purchase…

The Eventuri is very nice and I plan to meet the heads of the company at SEMA. They are MINI/BMW fans if that mean anything to you. Plastics if you are more on a budget.

You cannot beat the quality and look of the brand, Hopefully they will continue to make more items for MINI.
We have other options now as there is more on the market for the F series.

Might as well go for the Forge hard intake, and complete the system.

Yeah, definitely going with the whole Forge setup! -Rich
I bought the Eventuri CF setup. It sure catches eyes when you have the bonnet open at the track. I had originally was going to go with the Forge setup, but was on backorder till Feb. 2023.
As far as performance, I was checking the IAT's on an 80 degree day was sitting at 102 degrees while driving. I do run the JB4 tune on map 1 at the moment.
You can hear the turbo spool a little bit louder, but not crazy loud.

Yep they have a video here, you can here it. With the hood closed it does cut the sound back a bit.

Absolutely not worth it. You can get a K&N drop in for around $55 which is essentially the same thing considering that the stock intake is still a cold air intake that gets air from outside of the car.
Or the fact that you can buy an aFe momentum GT https://www.cspracing.com/afe-power-...afe-50-70068r/ for around $350-400

Def the best looking intake in the market but you dont get any noticeable gain from intake. Just nice noise you get.
So for aesthetic and sound, it's good but you can get nice noise out (without nice look) for 250-350. I have GruppeM which is also CF, looks good and that's the main reason I got it. Paid 550 but wouldn't spend any more than that for Mini.

I put one of these on my 2016 JCW - I have a Dinan Stage 1 flash and nothing else done to the engine. I do have a JCW Pro Exhaust. Couldn’t tell you if it adds power or not - but it definitely helps get more cool air into the engine. I’m in south Florida and we get heat soak very quickly, so lowering the IATs even a bit helps (maybe). I’ve been monitoring IATs and they seem to be about 10+F lower than without the intake/hood scoop - Not going to get bigger intercooler so, it is something. I got the “plastic” intake, didn’t really care about CF in the engine bay. But, the CF Hood Scoops sold by others that is non-functional runs over $500 USD. I figured for $500 I get a nice sounding intake that may give me cooler temps, and for another $500 I get nice CF hood scoop. It also addresses my ‘tism that the hood scoop must be functional.
For me at roughly $1000 USD, was worth it and sounds great
