Ugh! My car is still in quality control. Hope everything is all right. Don’t these people have overtime?
That said; I saw a Chili Red / black roof at the dealer. It looked better in person than the pics.

Woohoo! According to Track My MINI, my MINI entered the production queue today and the VIN has been assigned.

Requested an update from my dealer rep again who insisted before that he would let me know as soon as he saw any movement. He also said he checks every morning for any change. I'm told there is still no change. At this point, it's been over 2 months since I put in my deposit (May 14th) and closing in on 2 month since I got the build sheet (June 1st).

I realize everything is progressing much slower than normal with semiconductor and other parts shortages, but it's getting a bit crazy.

Not to mention, I was rear ended in my daily driver on June 1st and it's still in the shop for repairs. Was hoping I would have the MINI sooner rather than later so I would have something I could daily drive if I decide to move on from that once the repairs are complete.

When I went through this (just last month), the reps at ASK MINI said that cars are at the port for 1.5-2 weeks. Mine was there for 2 weeks.
Also when the car finally arrives, you may have to wait even longer depending on whether or not the dealer has the Certificate of Origin for your car. My car was here for almost another 2 weeks and I couldn't drive it home until the COO came in. That was annoying. Just be prepared if this stuff happens. If not then great!

I'm staying pessimistic right now to avoid disappointment later as the inevitable delays pop up. In May, my dealer thought we'd have an August delivery but realistically it's probably going to be mid-September at the earliest since my car just recently got into the production queue and the VIN was assigned.

Good information to know, thank you. Sounds like with where I am (no real status) that it's going to be quite a while. Hindsight is 20/20 of course, but had I known it would be this sort of timeline I'm not sure I would have ordered.

About two weeks have passed since my MINI went into production so I decided to call today for an update.

The automated voice response system said my car will be completed by September 3rd. I then routed myself to a human who checked and he indicated that there are no updates since it went into production on the 13th.

At this rate, it's looking more and more like I'll take delivery in October if I'm lucky and putting it into winter storage shortly after. Sucks, but it is what it is.

Ordered on or around May 25th. Car arrived at dealer this morning. Just over 2 month wait. Not too bad considering what some others are reporting.

Did your dealer already have a specific allocation for an Oxford? That is a much quicker turnaround than anyone else has reported.

I'd be curious to hear whether or not your respective dealers have the Certificate of Origin for your cars. Minor annoyance, but curious to see if it is a systemic issue.

What model did you order? Several of us that have ordered Oxford editions have been waiting longer yet your car seems to have breezed right through.

My dealer had an Oxford two-door allocated for a July build which is mine now, once it actually gets built and I take delivery. It went into the production queue two weeks ago.

Sounds to me like they are de-prioritizing the Oxfords, I'm guessing because the margin is lower.

Another week goes by for me with no update - a build sheet on June 1 is the only documentation I have to show. In May, my dealer had no F56 Oxford allocations, but I guess they were able to secure one, hence the build sheet. I'm hoping they weren't just stringing me along.

Out of the blue, my MINI sales rep called me today with an update on the production of my Oxford two-door manual. Apparently the factory is on a three week shutdown for upgrades but he wasn't exactly sure if it was new tooling, electronics or whatever.

According to the automated voice response ASK MINI, my car is scheduled for completion on September 3rd and my MINI guy indicated that my car will be built in the first batch after shutdown.

It will have all the latest updates which is good but I also wonder if it will get some bugs, too. Hopefully not!

Wonder if I might finally get a production number assigned when the shutdown ends? I try not to be too hopeful based on the drawn out situation here. Maybe I’ll get it before it snows…

My Oxford is at the dealer (Keeler) NY. But I am in Puerto Rico until the middle of this week. I am hoping everything will come together soon.

Funny. Now that I look at the pics seems like the fuel door is different shade. Will check it out in the light of day

I'm curious what it will look like on a second look, but I agree that in the pictures the fuel door looks a little different

Congrats! Now I really want mine to get built and over here! You've got a good-looking car and I'm glad I stayed with black over chili red for my order.

Did you order the all-season or summer performance tires? What brand did you end up with? Also, have you had time to check if to see if you have a spare tire and jack kit?

Did you end up with all the correct Oxford features without substitutions? I kind of recall hearing about someone that received a car without the digital dash cluster because it was swapped out for the previous analog cluster due to the ongoing chip issue.

Enjoy your new ride!
