F55/F56 F56 Oxford Ordering?
EDIT: Just confirmed that premium audio was removed from my car. Looks like I'm cancelling my order. What a shame.

Woohoo! I received the production number for my Oxford two-door today and all the features/colors that I ordered are correct. I also created an account in My MINI Garage so that I can track the progress because you need either a production number or a VIN to access that level of detail. Now I will continue to wait...
For those wondering about such things, today is June 14 and I ordered and put a deposit down on May 11th. So a bit over 30 days to get the production number assigned.

I would imagine that Mini will soon acquire the chips needed to furnish these 2 very popular options. Then you can restart the order process. I got my new car in 3/2020, when auto sales were in the toilet due to Covid. But I searched Mini dealers' inventory because I didn't want to wait for an order/build. I think Mini stopped building them around that time too. Fortunately I found what I wanted 100 miles away and got a 10% discount to boot (only discount I've gotten on my 3 new Minis).
It does suck that HK is not an option right now. Does anyone have any detail from a dealer?
I wonder if it is just the HK amp that is not available? Do the cars come with an HK-compatible head unit? So would the head unit be HK-compatible so you can add HK amp and speakers later? What about the vehicle trim? HK has the tweeters on the A-pillars, right? I assume Mini would build the car with a normal A-pillar trim.
What a mess.
Maybe a workaround for some people would be to get the aftermarket upgrades - Like BimmerTech's full system amp/speakers upgrade...It would cost you $2300.00 though. Something to consider. This would be assuming that all the wiring is in place. Probably a no-go unless someone has inside info.

Now, they are going back to the chip makers, and telling them that they were just joking when they cancelled all their orders. Good luck with that. When they cancelled all their chip orders, the chip makers (TSMC, et al) didn't just turn off their lights and go home. Instead, the chip makers found new customers to use up all the capacity the auto industry freed up. Now, the auto industry wants that capacity back, and they can't have it (at least not quickly).
I received my production information via the MINI owners site. I now have a VIN and am in the Production que. I had asked for my Oxford plus to be built without the sunroof. I am hoping that the word got thru to the factory in light of the chip shortage. We shall see.

Ford did this on my one Mustang order. Two options I wanted, would not be available for 2 months (in Ford speak, "Job 2"). So, my order went into hold, and when these two options became available, my order was first-in-line for them.
I found in the My MINI Garage today that production has been scheduled for my Oxford. It's not a Plus with the sunroof and automatic but rather a no-sunroof with the 6-speed manual car. I'm calling tomorrow for more details.
I called 866- ASK-MINI for an update on the production date for my car. Interestingly, the automated system was not able to give me a production date or week however, when I spoke to a live human, Kelsey, she confirmed it is set for production in week 28 which is the week of July 11th. Given that, and what others have experienced with their builds, I'm thinking an early to mid-September delivery is probably more realistic than in August.
I asked her if any build component was showing up as unavailable and, at this point in time, everything is a go.

My dealer had a two-door allocated for a July build and IIRC, your dealer had a car allocated that fit what you wanted and they were going to try to snag it for you. I received my production number a week or two ago and you haven't. Maybe it's just a timing thing and since you ordered yours several days after me perhaps your production number will be assigned this week.
I wonder what's different between your order and my order (other than different dealers) since we both ordered cars within several days of each other?

I say go buy a black Ford F-150 with 4WD and big nasty tires on it with some red flames on the side!
Yay!
Since you posted an in-production date of June 14 then it's basically two weeks to get from in production to paint. So that means that my car, with an in-production date of July 11, will be in paint around July 25th. Then with the rest of assembly and getting across the pond, the chances of an August delivery is probably slim for me. But I'll be happy to get the car no matter when it finally arrives.

Spoke with my dealer again and all I got was it’s “in the queue for assembly” whatever that means. No production number yet so I’m probably looking like mid-September at best if I had to guess.
I wonder if calling Ask MINI might get you somewhere? By giving them your dealer name and the rough order date along with the model and some specifics, they should be able to track it down, I would think. It could be that your dealer rep is lazy and just doesn't want to do any legwork.
This adventure just keeps dragging on. On June 18th I called ASK-MINI and I was told that my car is confirmed for production the week of July 12th. I called today to double-check on where things stand and I was told it is confirmed for week 29 which is the week of July 19. So it's been moved back by a week - perhaps parts or staffing or who knows what has impacted the date.
So more waiting and watching my 2021 drive time slowly vanish before it gets parked for the winter.

@Bob-O Thats unfortunate news your build got pushed out
I reached out to ASK MINI and they said they could not provide me any additional information without a production number. So my waiting game continues I guess. I’ll be losing most of the pre-winter drive time I guess, but I’m assuming I can’t cancel my order at this stage without losing my deposit.
