Has anyone obtained a passenger side visor? If so, were you able to order it through a US dealer or did you have to go to the UK and have it shipped?

 

You can order it through sites like ECS or get it from your local MINI dealer. Check out realOEM to get the part number. It's a really easy install.

Unfortunately, these diagrams and the listing in realOEM are only for the left side-sunvisor . I need a right side-sunvisor, as used on UK cars.

Also, I don't know what site ECS refers to.

 

Right here we are. What headliner and do you have sunroof or not, just need your year/model.

 

I have a 2021 4 door hardtop Cooper S without sunroof. The headliner is anthracite.

Let me know if you need any additional info.

 

The "right" side visor is only a UK item. It is the drivers side in the UK.
Dealers nor ECS etc can get them.
My number for right side black panorama roof option is 51167376860 ECS can you get his number???

Look up a UK version of your model. Then find the "drivers side"

 

Ok, thought you were talking about the US version front, not the slide version UK, for the side I would have to contact overseas for price, We can get anything that the UK and Germany gets except for things that are coded or hazmat like airbags, seatbelts, and such.

Might take a day to get prices. Hold tight.

I think what I'm looking for, is a "Sun Visor: Side: Right: Satellite Grey". Assuming "right" is US Passenger side and UK Driver's side.

 

Yep driver UK version side sun visor.

 

Don't see why you can't just flip the LH version to use on the right side...

The front edge and back edge are different lengths, so it's not a perfect fit. But you can do that and it's fine. That's what I did in my wife's Clubman and you can't really tell with the anthracite headliner.

 

Left and right are asymmetrical. and the Panorama roof version is different.

True. But the pictures I can find online, show both sides of the side visor are finished the same. So, I think one can just flip it around. Though, if that was really true, I would think that MINI would have only one P/N for both the left and the right one.

 

There is no right side for US versions, as there is no left side for UK versions.
Hence buying a UK drivers side.
They are "asymmetrical", when using a drivers US on the passenger side, the longer part (past the hinge) will be opposite.

Curvature between Panoramic roof and none, are opposite.

Interesting information. My order shows my headliner as "anthracite." I am guessing that this is the same as Schwartz (black) -- correct?

 

Not if you flip it around 180 deg. Like I already said, it looks to be possible, but I am not 100% sure of some small, minor, thing might prevent it.

 

Notice one side is longer??? From the hinges out.
If you flip it, the longer end will be in the front, but maybe you'll like it??

You can use the US driver side one and it works fine. It doesn't sit completely flat, though that makes it easier to open since you can get your fingers behind it easier.

 

If you flip it over, the longer side, is now the other way.


I think one could get away with flipping it over because both sides are finished the same. This is unlike the windshield visors which have the mirror on one side, and if you flipped it over, the mirror would be on the wrong side.

Just an idea.
