Question about Oxford Editions

Hello,

I had a question regarding Oxford Editions and pricing.

Since these particular Mini's are kind of special editions and reduced in price, do you think the prices on these are negotiable at all or are they pretty much fixed?

I imagine these get picked up pretty quick once they hit dealer lots so I can't imagine a dealer would negotiate on the price but I wanted to ask the community anyway and see if anyone has any experience on these?

Thanks

Jay

Ive only seen Countryman Oxfords at my dealer. I think you might be right they get bought quickly. You might have to special order it.

Purchased a 2020 Oxford F56 Dec 2019. Told there was no wiggle room in the price (For 2019 it was initially supposedly only for military and new Mini owners- this would have been our 3rd) but they were opening it up to all comers at that point as they had "too much" inventory on hand which had not sold. (well I found 9 in a 50 mile radius of where we live in the Chicago burbs). At that point they didnt even know if they would send 2021 Oxfords to N America. They only get a fixed number for N America. I don't think you can custom order. You can always ask on price, we did and they said no, despite being very willing to deal on non Oxford Minis and having given us great prices on our previous ones but for the equipment you get youre getting a great deal already.

I've been looking at Oxfords too.

My understanding is that the price is non-negotiable. Anyway, the price is so good that I would be happy to buy one at the listed price if I could find one in a color I like.

I tried to custom-order a 2021 Oxford at the beginning of this year, but was told that you cannot custom-order them. Dealers just sell whatever Oxfords MINI gives them.

New Oxford Hardtops are hard to find. In my months of searching, I was able to find one in Omaha: 2021 Starlight blue. That was recently sold.

However, there are many Oxford Countrymans available, at least in Southern California.

I've been reading about the 2022 lineup, and I didn't see any info about Oxfords. So maybe MINI won't even have Oxfords for 2022.

Yes I have seen many Oxford's here in Socal.

My wife wants a Clubman but I am kind of nudging her towards a Oxford Countryman.

What I can't seem to find is the All Wheel Drive versions. I found one the other day somewhere near San Francisco and it was all Black.

Well I am not going to go that far for one but hoping one pops down closer to us soon in a acceptable color combo.

I would prefer White, Moonwalk Grey or British Racing Green (all with the black roofs).

The one thing I wish the Oxfords had was Apple Car Play/Android Auto. I think that would have made them just about perfect.

I know Android Auto is not even available on any Mini. BMW really needs to make that feature available.

Bought an Oxford

Hi - Wanted to chime in hear. I bought an F55 Oxford in September 2020 (2021 model) and I love it. You can order these, but each dealer is different. There are minimal options that can be added and mostly add-ons. I have basically turned mine into a signature by now with all the add-ons ;-. Yes I have also added the storage package to mine and Mini (and the suppliers selling the parts) have no idea how to install these so I did it myself. Looks great.

I had originally order an F56 red HB, but the factory was closing the special edition line until May 2021 so I had to wait. Found an all white F55 in Ft. Wayne, IN and drove over an bought it. You can also get 250-400 off of the sticker but timing is everything on this. I have seen 2 reduced online. I was not too opposed to flying or driving to get one so I had about 12 Mini dealers to chose from.

The all white is rather unique, but I plan to wrap the top and mirrors (along with bonnet stripes) in Melting Silver to mimic a Mini 7

That's still only $22k for a pretty well equipped new Mini with an automatic and 8" touchscreen. That's an MCS not a Justa right?

No, the Oxford Editions have always been Justas.

The Oxford is considered a Justa, no?

Regardless, I agree that the Oxford is still a good deal at $22k, so no complaints about the price. I do have some non-price hesitations (I don't love the current colors or the looks of the 2022 refresh, and no Android Auto), but they are not deal breakers.

You're just like me: I too want to delete the moonroof.

Were you able to choose anything else - like wheel color, etc.?

Yes. I chose summer performance rubber because I already have winter tires on 112’s. 17 inch wheels are available black or anthracite. I chose anthracite.
